Looking for a good place to paint tail lights

Hey, I am looking for somewhere reputable to paint my tail lights. I am wanting them painted red, but with the turn signal area left clear.

If anyone knows some one or has a good place to do it and please let me know.

I would try it myself but would prefer to pay and have it done once and look good, rather then my fuck it all up.

thanks.

Just grab can of VHT Niteshades in red and spray away. Grab a can of goof off in case you mess up and need to remove it. For area you'd like to keep clear just tape off and remove when wet.

Did a buddies FRS and was pretty easy stuff to use.

Sorry, where in my post did I mention concern about pricing.

Just looking for a quality place to do it because I would rather pay and know it's going to look great. Instead of me doing it and I'm not happy.

Ya just read a diy online. Might give it a go, just need to get measurements for the clear sections so they are even on both sides.

Thanks for tips.

Do it yourself, its pretty easy. Wet sand it down to give the wet look. Spray a couple of light coats, remember not to saturate it right away which causes dripping. Then your good to go.

Make sure the room you're painting in is about 12* or warmer and you'll get great results.

it's a good idea to spray clearcoat over the VHT, makes it shinier and you don't have to worry about losing some color when you wet sand it.

Could also buy sheets of lamin-x film and cut it yourself. Then you could remove it whenever you want if you don't like the look

ive had experience with painting lenses.. vht will make it a dark red. but can be wiped off with gas and a rag. so if you clear over them it wont be as easy to take off to re do them.

also some clear coats dont work well. some will cause wrinkling in the clear.

my advice would be to grab some metal cast in red. its a transparent paint with a great finish. but it will not come off as easy if you mess up.

canadian tire and lordco carry it

same advice as before. do a good job cleaning the area. taking out the tail light would be best. thin coats followed by a final thick coat if you know how to judge the layer you are applying.
