Fuckin' rights!! HBO, SuperChannel, Cinemax, MovieCentral, etc need to do Gotham. NBC/ABC shows are too, I dunno, gay as fuck(besides, LOST; which was good for 2 seasons tops). I'd love to have high hopes but I don't think the network will do "Gotham" justice after Nolan's trilogy.

SkinnyPupp 08-29-2014 08:41 PM

Network shows can be good... They just have annoying issues that keep them from being great.

white rocket 08-29-2014 09:10 PM

I just think that network shows have restrictions in terms of the, say, raciness of the show. Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. ain't no StrikeBack. There's always that level of "cheese" with network stuff.

SkinnyPupp 08-29-2014 09:39 PM

The thing that bothers me the most about network shows is how pretty and clean everyone looks

winson604 08-29-2014 11:41 PM

Totally agree with Pupp on this one as well. Ah wells I'll still watch it but we'll see for how long.

white rocket 08-30-2014 09:57 AM

Agreed. Hard for a network show to be dark, edgy, gritty, etc.

StylinRed 09-02-2014 08:10 PM

Netflix just bought the rights to the show for $1.75m per episode
Shame it won't be available until after the seasons ended on broadcast tv

Netflix has bought the rights to 'Gotham' before the show has even premiered | The Verge

SkinnyPupp 09-02-2014 08:58 PM

I hope this means they actually watched it and thought it was good

rice cooker 09-16-2014 11:08 PM

i dont see how this show can possibly be good

Sarah Conner Chronicles
Fringe
etc
etc

I know I'm missing some and that it's not a Fox exclusive thing... It's just that they seem to have a habit of doing it more often than most other networks.

The thing with FOX is that they tend to cancel Genre tv shows above all else.

Sir_Loin 09-22-2014 06:24 PM

Episode 1 was dope, if FOX cancels this :devil::devil:

Gh0stRider 09-22-2014 08:02 PM

that was pretty good.

3klipze 09-22-2014 08:20 PM

Enjoyed it. Hopefully it'll continue this way.

Sir_Loin 09-22-2014 09:20 PM

Netflix bought the rights to stream Gotham once the current season is over, should be a good sign Fox isn't gonna cancel it but who knows.

racerman88 09-22-2014 09:22 PM

looked good

murd0c 09-22-2014 09:30 PM

didn't dissapoint at all, all I could think about was the OC tho lol

All those shows pretty much had horrid ratings and low ad buy rates by advertisers, so really not surprised by Fox cancelling those. Of those above, Fringe was an interesting case in our biz, while live ratings where bad, the + DVR ratings were good, but hard to pitch to advertisers with low live viewing rates and only so much in-show sponsorship space, being on the WB end, we produced the show but sold airing rights to Fox, we weren't shocked when Fox pulled it from their schedule and with those ratings numbers, no other network was interested in making space on their schedule. I understand it sucks for fans, I was a big fan of Gang Related and Fox canned that, but really hard to justify the numbers.

Caught Gotham, thought it was ok, Bruce Wayne parts were annoying, I think its the kid actor that annoyed me. Gotham is another WB produced show picked up by Fox, hopefully it'll have a better fate than Fringe.

I really enjoyed the pilot, though I'm not too sure what to think of Alfred yet.

AzNightmare 09-23-2014 12:53 AM

This guy has such an innocent looking face... I can't take him seriously as a cop.

kchan 09-23-2014 01:07 AM

not sure how i like alfred, not the accent i'd like but ill give him couple more episodes to decide...

cant wait to see how oswald's character shapes up

palepilsenpin0y 09-23-2014 01:35 AM

Guess I'm not the only one who enjoyed the episode but found Alfred = :suspicious:

SkinnyPupp 09-23-2014 03:13 AM

Glad to hear the pilot was good, will be checking it tonight

TV season has begun! :awwyeah:

rsx 09-23-2014 04:35 AM

Not bad, but not great either. It's okay. The title sequence looks cheap as hell and Ryan from the OC still looks like Ryan from the OC.

SkinnyPupp 09-23-2014 08:21 AM

Looks like it can be good, still can't tell from the pilot just yet. Wife is totally hooked of course, she loves all these CW and FOX shows

DanHibiki 09-23-2014 10:36 PM

I don't care for any of the kids in this show but Ben Mckenzie is playing a pretty good Gordon and I like it.

Also Falcone was pronounced different from the movies just like Ra's Al Ghul's name.
