Was pretty good but I hate all the young versions of the villains that seem to be thrown in there just because, i get its a pilot and they probably felt they needed to but ugh made it seem a bit cheesy and i am so far not a fan of Alfred, i like Sean Pertwee but not as Alfred nor how he portrays him a bit too thuggish The actor for Bullock is cool too but I don't like that he was partnered up with Gordon right away there's a cool story line with Gordons first partner that they borrowed for the pilot and it'd work better if it wasn't Bullock imo but that's just me being a bit too picky |
I can't buy into "Ryan from the OC" or Alfred's character. I really dig the cinematography and sets though. More gritty than I would have expected so that is a plus. I'd say the casting is the only thing that suffers at this point. Will keep watching though. |
The young cat woman was annoying me. I think there was this scene where she was perched on a gravestone. Like get the hell off there. That's some dead guy's memorial you're standing on. I'm just nitpicking. I just can't get into network television. |
It was the first episode and they had to toss in those characters to show us where the show could actually go. I just hope it stay's dark but being a network show I can see that changing |
Wow just realized Gotham teased us with this guy as the Joker? http://imageserver.moviepilot.com/-9...d3e9bd4cc3.png Interested in seeing a young Mr Freeze |
^whoa never realized that. So he's like what. 10-15 years older than Bruce then? |

It's a bit weird seeing these "younger" versions of the characters :lol |
Interesting about the "Joker" stand-up comedian guy. Didn't catch that reference the first time around. I couldn't quite tell the era of the setting. Is it modern day? Or is it supposed to be the "past"? Like the 60's or 70's or something? |

I'm guessing around the 80s or so |
Pilot was decent.. some bad overacting going on but I find that happens a lot before people really sink into their characters. Will watch again to see how things progress. |

I think they're just "showing" the early years of the characters when they were younger. |
I think this is modern day but with just young character's kinda like what happened with Smallville |
Yeah, that's kinda what I thought. Just wasn't sure what was implied. |
they're driving around in 1980's cars and using post-2000's cellphones.... so it's a toss up |

I think they're just going the Archer route when it comes to determining what year it is. :lol |
pilot was pretty good. I'll be following it. Crazy how they exposed so many to-be-villians in just one episode though... Wonder if theyll speed up the timeline and let us see Bruce Wayne grow up to be Batman or not. But if they do, then i assume the series may end...? |

I think the era is supposed to be ambiguous, which is really cool |
^ It makes sense. There's never been a "set time period" for Batman; it's always evolved with the real world. I'm assuming that based on the vehicles and settings, it's based around the "mid to late 80's", but with modern day technology as well. |
im getting a bit of a steampunk feel from the series. clothes, cars, and random tidbits from the 60s with modern day tech |
