Three weeks in Asia - Hong Kong, Shanghai and Japan

I recently came back from a three week trip in Asia. Spent 10 days split between Hong Kong and Shanghai, and then another 10 days in Japan, split between Tokyo and Kyoto. I brought my Nikon D600 with my Sigma 35mm, 70-200 2.8 and 20mm.

Did you bring a tripod too?

Base on those above shots (except 13,16,21,22?), I guess you didn't use the 70-200mm much?

I used a cheapo travel tripod. Most of the long exposures were with the tiny Nikon 20mm so a small tripod was fine to use. I just had a to find a place to stand it on. As for the 70-200, I didn't use it a lot in HK and Shanghai, but I found myself using it more in Japan. The large shot of the Gundam was actually about 10 images shot with the 70-200 at 200mm, from bottom to top. I then stitched it into a vertical panorama in post to create a full body image with no distortion. By comparison, here is single full body shot of the Gundam with the Nikon 20mm. The distortion makes his foot huge.
