OMG... Anyone Work at Weissech? 1990 Ruf CTR "Yellowbird" 6-Speed Manual Please tell me you work there so I can enquire about the price of the car. I'm thinking $150,000:whistle: If I won the lotto I would buy this as my weekend cruiser. Subtle, not overtly flashy but a true sleeper. Car is so nice and RARE!! Most people would assume it's just an old Porsche. Nobody but the true car enthusiast would understand the true significance of the yellow bird. 1 of only 26 ever made with the majority stored in some Abu Dhabi oil sheiks airplane hanger full of hyper cars and 1 of 1 limited edition personal cars. I would choose this car over an aventendor without a second thought. God I love Porsches. What's even more sick is the yellow birds only usually came in yellow not red!! Man if I won the lotto I'd stop by Weissech buy this and drive it all summer. Man I'm so jealous whenever I see the young Asians driving ferraris and lambos. Imagine living like them being able to afford to drive any car you desire. |
Man, if I won the lotto, I'd buy your account so you'd stop posting. Also, 'Porsche Sleeper' :lawl: |
You are so cool. |
|
much cool. |
they didnt make a lot of them but they converted a lot of owner porsches into them i thought? |
Lol $150,000 won't even get you close to it. |
Y U NO BE YELLOW "YELLOWBIRD" Red? :okay: |
lol, Bin Laden will you ever learn. |
Lol 150k. Go offer them that. Fuck, you are such a bad troll. Not funny, only semi annoying, uninteresting. Give me Timpo and CIC to come make threads interesting any day. |

now weissach is selling it for 280k ;) |
Yep only 130k off or 40% short. Basically bang on. |
There was a really neat article on this puppy in last Friday's Vancouver Sun. Interestingly, I don't know why I never put up cool ripped out calendar photos and posters on my wall around the same time this was released, lol. For some reason the old Porsche article drew more of my time than the Pagani one where apparently the bolts alone cost over 10g's!! |
It's too bad the OP's delivery was so horrible because the car itself is something to behold. This could have been a nice discussion about this fabulous piece of machinery but unfortunately no one here gives a flying fuck how much you love Porsche's, what you think the car is worth, what you know about the car, why you would buy it, what you would do if you won the lotto and how you feel about wealthy mainland immigrants. welcome to the shark tank s0n! Spoiler! |
An amazing car. One of my all time favorites. |

I just realized you spelled Weissach wrong not once but twice... :lawl: |

That being said, I doubt any rich Asian kids would take a second look at this type of car... for the majority of them, cars are seen as a status symbol, and are only of value when new (good news for those buying certified pre-owned cars, lol). 99% chance that this will go to some collector who will drive it rarely, if at all. |
Maybe Shark Tank is a failed Entrepreneur from the show "Shark Tank". Now he's left to just dream of what could have been, and what could be. Keep your head up son. |
My valuation was a bit off. Thought higher mileage would play a factor but exclusivity>mileage (w/ dealer markup) Was browsing Weissach and immediately have that awful pit in the stomach feeling when I saw this: http://i.imgur.com/NoxaRld.png Spoiler! Wonder what the offer is and if it's been excepted... ? |
Shark Tank, I am curious about one thing. Are you a friend or a relative of Timpo? :suspicious: |

Either way any car you talk about is more than you can afford, pal. |
