Bug splatters on car

Taking my car on the highway to the states and each time I come back with a VERY dirty car with hundreds of dead bug bodies splattered everywhere. IS this bad for the paint on the car, is there anyway to avoid this or any tips on how to treat the car after every time haha

ive noticed the bumper is more prone to rock chips driving in the US than locally...is that mainly contributed from the faster traveling speed?

I used to wash my car and put a coat of wax on the front end before a day trip to the USA.
That helped a little when it came to washing them off after the road trip.

The US road surface breaks down faster and ends up with pebbles that hit your car.

Just take some polish or wax and rub it all over the front of the car before you go... when you come back, just wipe it off and all the bugs just wipe away with it. Easy. I've used this method for years even coming back from as far away as Las Vegas and it works like a charm. Doesn't look quite as stupid as a taped up frontend either.

Alternatively, AutoGlym (for example) sells an intensive bug/tar remover at Canadian Tire.
