The "order confirmation" I got said explicitly that they will only confirm they've received the order, and can never guarantee that you'll receive goods until the actual order has been shipped.

Reading the thread on RFD and the reasoning behind the petition, I absolutely abhor and despise these people and especially the main individual who is pushing for the petition. Having worked in consumer goods before, they are scum.

Meh, Lenovo's market is in the business line. Their consumer line isn't what they spend all their time on.. Its all about servers and mobile for them now.. They just bought Motorola and IBM you really thing they care about their consumer line.. Then again with social media, everyone thinks they have to right to bitch and whine and if they dont get what they want, they'll just try and put out bad rep..

People blowing things out of proportion through media. Those that got charged money on their credit card and haven't received their refund, I agree why they aren't happy and have every right to speak their minds, but for the rest, they are just trolling to get something out of this.

Like that stupid girl on global tv news. All this BS about in the market for a laptop is a load of crap. The laptop is thick like a phone book and ugly ass that I wouldn't even bring it outside, yet alone want one. Of course, the price can't be complained for what you get LOL

id like a killer deal as much as the next guy
the way i see price errors...they can refuse it AS LONG AS they don't charge your credit card. The minute they have your funds they should honour it

I give them the benefit of the doubt with regards to getting charged. The payment process is likely automated whereas refunds probably need to be manually processed by an accounting department.

With likely thousands of orders going through on a Friday afternoon, I could imagine it would've taken awhile on Monday morning for the web team to find the error, notify management whom then decides what to do, notify the accounting team before they could sift through the price-error orders and actually start processing the returns.

Considering they made the mistake I think they should honour it, but definitely only 1 per order made.

I have heard of people making a bunch of accounts and ordering like 50 of these things. Which is BS, something like this was obviously and error you are an idiot if you didn't see that. So jumping on it and doing this is why Lenovo doesn't want to honour it.

EDIT: If anyone on here wants to pass on that $100 discount, I want to buy a new X1 Carbon... I'll buy you a 6 pack.

They probably don't plan on having another sale till the discount expires. All in all, it's meaningless unless you were willing to pay full price to begin with. So that weeds out a majority of those RFD hoarders. :thumbsup:

I'm not keeping my hopes up for anything but I find it odd that I placed 4 orders on Friday and out of the 4, 2 haven't been cancelled yet; the orders were actually released to manufacturing. And these were the initial two orders that were placed, the last two's statuses have already been cancelled.
