I don't know about comfy being on coilovers, but everything else sounds good.

I'd love to own one in the future as well.

And aside from the sikky headers, there are the PPE ones too.

By all means, IS-F is definitely not the slowest car in the segment. Check out the Lightning Lap 2011. (Yes, I know it's old) Both the M3 and IS-F share the same lap time.

Lightning Lap 2011 - Feature - Page 8

Before I purchased my 2010 IS-F, I test drove the M3, C63 AMG and S4 (RS4 wasn't available in Vancouver). Anyway, C63 was my top pick and IS-F came really closed. They sound absolutely fabulous. In term of daily drive, both IS-F and C63 are excellent due the high torque power in low rpm. M3 is great as a weekend track/fun car. It has got the best driving feel and I love the redline 8000rpm. It does make sense driving on a race track. Personally I think it's definitely the driver's car. However, with city driving it's just not feasible to ramp up the rpm like that. It makes me feel like I'm trying to race with someone. S4 was fantastic. It's very well balanced and controlled and has a ton of grip in turnings. However, I didn't like how I felt the center gravity was a bit high (floaty) during turns vs. flatter with the rest. Could be the suspensions? I also felt the styling wasn't aggressive enough. Long of short, I picked the Lexus mainly for the reliability and driving ability as a daily drive and it's also the rarest of the all. You don't see many IS-Fs on the road. I do agree that aftermarket support is the worst (no chips, little mods excepts bolt-ons), but I don't regret of getting it. Currently, I'm running a Joe-Z intake, PPE header with Borla catback and it's dropped with KW V3. Exterior is Lexon cf lip, Tom's cf side diffuser, Megan cf roof spoiler and Wald cf rear diffuser. I think it's enough mods for me already for now.

I've loved the IS-F since it's release. A love affair would be an understatement. Unfortunately it just doesn't work for my lifestyle so alas I'm stuck dreaming. Since it will be a daily for you I say get it for sure. I'm kinda Japanese > Euro biased from a reliability standpoint and love Lexus as a brand anyway. Their fit and finish is unmatched. Yeah, perhaps a little boring but shit, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I love seeing 20 year old Lexus vehicles that look amazing with 300k kms on them. A true testament to the build quality. Considering your current E46(which is awesome!) I'd say the IS-F would make a perfect addition to your stable.

Spoiler!

Good point, man.
The original LS was pimp, and the SC was only an engine swap away from being a luxo-Supra eater. The bugeye GS still looks awesome, while the new F series of Lexus makes me happypants.

Dammit OP, now I want an IS-F too.

It's that build quality that drew me to the Lexus(and Toyota) in the first place. Lowest recall rating, amazing residual values, superb fit and finish; I could go on and on.

I've always loved the ISF but I hadn't thought about them for a long time since I can't afford one. Thanks for reminding me you jerk

I just love the fact that people think it's an IS 250/350 and you tell them no it's an F, and they go what?

I dunno, I love mine, sure I miss driving a manual, but that can be remedied by having a second car. I haven't had a single issue with the car. dropped her and got exhaust and I'm always playing with the paddle shift now to hear her sing. DAT 5.0 V8

Besides,

How many ISF do you see running on the road? C63 and M3s are like civics

The only thing I dislike about this car is the front bumper. The is350 looked good but the isf looks like it has some chunky aftermarket bumper slapped on it.

Cool. Glad you are still on the hunt. I completely agree with the douche stuff. The transaction has to feel good the whole way through to achieve complete satisfaction at the end.
