Google Chromecast $39 + $20 google play credit

buy one and register it between Jun 9-30 and get $20 Play credit/ device.

try registering old ones and you may get $20 as well. I got it on a CC I bought in March.

Buy at Futureshop, BestBuy, Amazon.ca etc.

edit:

sorry for lack of info. Install the CC app in your phone, tab etc. just plug in the CC to your tv and set it up for CANADA, click on the CC that shows up on your CC app. click view offers or something. it will tell you if you have an offer (success!) or nothing (fail).
click accept and it will bring you to play store and your current logged in play account will be credited.

if you are using the wrong account, log into the correct account, you can cancel and redo the check offer thing.

you have to have purchased it in canada i think. good luck on the old models ones.

credits must be used within 1 year and only on digital items like movies, games and music.. no phones tablets or other hardware.

Yeah I'll probably buy Plex and Cerberus with the credit.

Swiftkey is free now dude. No trial/nothing to pay. Comes with emojis and number row.

Tunein Radio Pro I linked you the full cracked version bro...could prolly get you poweramp full as well :lol

Vansterdam 06-11-2014 03:36 PM

I had the cracked versions but decided to get the full version lol. Wasent sure if I could get the updates or not with the cracked version through the play store. If it can then I think you can get a refund on the app no? :concentrate:

only app I ever refunded was actually the pos revscene app years ago lol

After purchasing an app or game on Google Play, you can return it within 15 minutes for a full refund.

If the 15 minute return period has passed, we recommend contacting the app developer directly. You can find an app developer’s contact information listed on an app or game’s detail page on Google Play.

Return an app within 15 minutes of purchase

On your device

Open the Google Play Store Google Play Store app.
Touch the Google Play Store Play Store icon > My Apps.
Select the app or game you'd like to return.
Select Refund.

ended up refunding the Camera FX and Tunein radio Pro for cracked versions lol, manage to refund it just on time to :concentrate: Il just buy the stuff that needs licensing lolol

willystyle 06-11-2014 03:45 PM

That's a pretty hot deal.

What can you do with Chromecast nowadays? Is it still quite limited to a few video-streaming sites? What are the capabilities for root vs non-root?

Vansterdam 06-11-2014 04:59 PM

wow I just redownloaded the revscene app its ALOT better then what I remembered from 2 years ago lol

and its free now too :fullofwin:

Vansterdam. its $20 per device. buy 5 and you get $100 to your account. no limit that i know of.

apps worth paying for:

Titanium Backup
Power Amp
Cerberus
Google Music
TTorrent
Nova Launcher

For CC use
Plex
Avia (free but requires pay for CC function unlocking)
Bubbleupupn (limited time free use)

anyone recommend a GPS app?

and if you're broke, google "Showbox".

whats the difference between Avia,Bubbleupupn and Allcast? they all seem to do the sames thing but Allcast is in the top paid apps section, although Bubbleupupn has the most downloads/user reviews. Im debating which of the 3 should I get.

Vale46Rossi 06-12-2014 07:11 PM

Thanks!

Final push for me to buy it, and I'm an avid user of Plex with Apple TV

Now I can use CC with it.

jeedee 06-16-2014 02:59 AM

What apps did you guys end up buying with your credit? Bought Cerberus (highly recommend it) and Plex but found it too laggy for desktop to chromecast streaming.

Found a cool app called TVPortal. It's pretty much the American Netflix. Lets you watch recent shows/movies.

*Its a 1 week trial app but when you upgrade to premium it removes the trial and ads*

1. Download the APK from here
2. Install the apk file on your phone
3. Open the TVPortal app > click the search button and type "reddit"
4. It'll ask for a code and type "midnight"
5. It'll make you install the premium version that removes the ads/trial basis.
6. To start streaming shows/movies to ChromeCast, you have to buy the chromecast streaming plugin which costs $2.18 from Google Play Store.

Vansterdam 06-16-2014 07:52 AM

for Plex you should play around with the streaming settings>player option which might help.

soo even if I follow ur steps for TVPortal, you sitll have to pay after the 1 week trial?

you should just get popcorn time which is like the pirated netflix lol

Psykopathik 06-16-2014 07:59 AM

i'm using Showbox and Allcast Premium ($5) now. allcast seems to start up without a hitch. Avia and Bubblupupn always hang on me for some reason.

Showbox is essentially a ad free version of Crackle. there are static ads, but not commecials in the middle of your show.)

TV portal seems too cumbersome to me, having to choose servers for content that may or may not work. also you have to pay for the CC add on option on TV portal

Nope. What you're paying for is the chromecast stream option for $2 on play store.

I've tried Popcorn Time but the streaming/wait time is slow as hell lol

:suspicious:

You were cumbersome to link us the steps/links to get the $20 credit so you shouldn't be talking :troll:

It takes like 2 seconds to choose a link lol. If it doesn't work choose another link? Yes you do have to pay for the ChromeCast stream option on TVPortal but it costs a measely $2.......isn't that why we have the $20 credit?

Heck you could even get TV Portal+chromecast addon cracked :lol

Expresso 06-21-2014 08:42 AM

Anyone who bought their Chromecast in the US give this a try?
