Well, the refs have also swallowed their whistles, especially on obstruction. '11-'12, '12-'13, '13-'14, and now, lowest of all, '14-'15 have had fewer power plays awarded than the dead puck era.

One good thing to come from the pens earning a playoff spot: Bettman can't hand them the top pick in the draft while forgetting that the oilers own the their pick.
