Mike Gillis is at my work loading up a helicopter for a fishing trip. Thankfully no one from the Leafs head office is here to swoon him with the vacant GM position.

This "must win game" tonight is a big test not only for our players but for the coaching staff.

It's gonna be really interesting to see what kind of adjustments Coach Willie and the assistant coaches make to jump start this team.

Where is the mean streak from our players, our D-men? I agree with whoever said that Bennett is getting in front of our net way too easy.

That's a "no fly zone" in front of Eddie. Edler, Pizzaman, any d-man needs to put that kid on the ice if he even dares to try to stay in that area.

I wouldn't mind seeing Dorsett mixes things up with the Flames.

This would be an easy seriers for Canucks if they just put traffic on hiller! Canucks need to quit trying to do the pretty plays and just get puck on net...look at Bo's goal just a simple shot on net and boom scores!

Also this is the fucking playoffs WD is going to have to give more minutes to the top guys need those guys to get them going!

Thing is there's already so much gucking traffic out in front that pucks aren't making it through. Then you have players like bieksa and Edler who can't even get a puck on net without traffic taking point shots it's fucking terrifying because there were probably AT LEAST 3 times last game where it was 1 on 1 at the blue line and if the flames player poked it through it would have been a clear break

some post whistle scrums would be a good start.
Dorsett/Richardson/Matthias/Hansen/Kenins need to get out there and get emotionally involved in the game.
Heck, Burrows should do what he does best and try to get under the skin of anyone he plays against.

Just a thought but maybe it's not a WD problem , but more a Sedin problem.

Considering how significant their quality of play dropped right after the first period, perhaps it doesn't matter if you're first line players/star players, if you're not going to skate and play at full tilt, might as well put someone else who will. :/

If the Sedins honestly kept up their intensity past the first period, i have a tough time believing that WD won't be riding on the twins to carry the whole game
