Grabbed SimCity 4. It was only $5 so I figured why not. Did they ever fix all the shit that was wrong with it?

Never had many problems with sim city even at launch personally.

Fuck now I remember why I stopped playing the Witcher, who the fuck wants to remember 30 different hot keys for all abilities etc :/

Rule of thumb for Steam Sales.
-Buy a game if its on Daily Deal or Flash sale or Community Choice. that is likely the cheapest it will be during the sale.
-For anything that wasn't one of the above, wait for the 2nd to last day to buy it. Waiting till the last day, you chance missing it entirely.

the last day is typically the "Encore" sales of the best sellers. last chance to grab a good deal.

-Don't buy the first thing you see EG: Tomb Raider - Daily Deal for $5. scroll down on the TR page. often there are bundles like Game Of The Year versions / Full Franchise / Season Pass packages for only a few $ more. In some cases, even cheaper than the daily deal/flash sale for the game alone.

I would also recommend using the addon Enhanced Steam.

It comes with a lot of features and it will even tell you what the lowest price has been and if it's cheaper in any different regions.

isthereanydeal.com is the most comprehensive one...although it doesn't take into account credits/coupon codes afaik

Some of the games are priced kinda stupid, there have been a few kinda indie titles that look very interesting come up but they are priced at $10-$15, when I've already bought so many games it's kind of hard to justify 10-15 where as if it was 3-6 I'd probably grab it no problem

Indie games usually fall between that range after a couple of sales if you don't mind waiting.

I miss the indie bundles they had when the sales were still kind of new. Could get a lot of games for really low prices.

Got Civ 5 Complete finally. I was waiting for that since day 1 of the sale. Also picked up Brothers as it seems like its an interesting game that has a good story to it. I have such a huge backlog of games now lol.

Skyrim is on for $5 right now.
