Long shot and possibly a bad idea, but perhaps put out a few things saying "text/call this number, if car is returned with no damage, no questions asked?" Just an idea.

i wish i was financially in a position where that would work

i just found out earlier when i re insured the car didnt have theft on it.. so.. yay me

Will keep an eye out in the Guilford area. Should be easy to spot with so few clean EF cars left.

snails 07-05-2014 10:05 PM

for revscene and the honda forum there will be a reward if any info leads to me getting my car back

thats the problem i see with exposing your car to the community.
I do it too, and its a sin.
But exposing yourself is like sprinkling sugar over an ant farm.

best of luck to you dude.
that little civic was hella dope

Parting out 1989 Civic Cheap

l browse thru CL all the time and this ad was new compared to the other stuff.

There are a few clues that the ad was written up hastily:
- too many digits in the phone number
- no pictures

It's probably not your car but it's worth looking into.

E-SPEC 07-06-2014 12:20 PM

Holy fuck man, What did you have for security???

dared3vil0 07-06-2014 12:38 PM

Email that ad asking;

"Hey man, i'm looking for the hood off the Civic you're parting out, don't care about condition. Can you send a pic?"

If hood has hole in it, call police.

E-SPEC 07-06-2014 12:43 PM

bossha 07-06-2014 12:49 PM

Sorry to hear that. Hope your car returns to you in the same condition before it was stolen.

Would definitely follow up on the craigslist ad though

godwin 07-06-2014 12:50 PM

chances are the last 4 digit is 1327

808 CO code belongs to Rogers

Someone should try txting it using iMessage or Android equivalent.. chances are the other end will reply and you will get their email address too.

Car was last spotted in Surrey, the sale ad is in Surrey...

The ad states:
"Motor and trans is good
Body is good"

Think about it.... if it's good and running why would anyone bother to part it out in the first place?

It's probably the car. The location is also on the map, I'd check out the area or at least alert the police so they are aware of it

snails 07-06-2014 01:11 PM

^ already checked it out last night and met with the guy 30 mins ago, its not the car :(

thanks for the help guys

^ Nevermind. Post made was may.

meme405 07-06-2014 01:33 PM

Christ just saw this. Can't believe someone would be dumb enough to steal such a known and recognizable vehicle.

I'll keep my eyes peeled on the North Shore and Burnaby.

You should consider phoning a few cab companies and give them the plate number and short description.

That old wivestale about cabbies finding stolen cars quickly isn't completely untrue, havn't heard of any successful stories from Van, but I know two guys who got their trucks back in AB, and there was a forum topic about a guy that got his back in chicago after the cabbies found it.

Makes sense if you think about it, there is so many damn cabs in this city, and they drive to so many random places.

Best of luck.

inkcognito 07-06-2014 02:42 PM

Still no luck? I'll keep an eye out in whalley hood!

Wild_Penguin 07-06-2014 03:12 PM

I'll keep an eye out in Victoria for ya.

Limitless 07-06-2014 07:17 PM

Shit sorry to hear man... I'll keep my eyes out in Burnaby and Richmond for you. Hope you see it back soon

jbsali 07-06-2014 10:42 PM
