Can only think of Joe Fortes, haven't tried myself though. |
I had one of these in Massachusetts @ Belle Isle: http://s3-media1.fl.yelpcdn.com/bpho...SQFlsl8A/l.jpg Nothing has ever come close. I had a super fresh one in the Maritimes, and even that couldn't compare. If something like that can make it to the West Coast, I'd be all over it! |
I had one at Joe Fortes last year during their happy hour. Wasn't anything to write home about. They were pretty cheap on the lobster pieces. I wouldn't even call them pieces, more like minced bits. https://scontent-b-hkg.xx.fbcdn.net/...73102721_o.jpg Now the one in London's Burger and Lobster... :concentrate: https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...12663213_o.jpg |
I believe I've had a lobster roll at Yew before... wasn't that memorable, though I'm sure it was tasty cus I love that place! |
Earls has a lobster and prawn roll for $18.00. |
I actually find it surprising you can find it in restaurants here. Sure, it's easy in the kitchen since the heavy lifting isn't done during service. Still costs a fortune to make. I do mine with butter poached lobster. |
I was at Subway today (on Lonsdale in North Van) and saw they have a lobster sandwich on special. 6" for $8 and 12" for $13. |
