Hi, I'm new to the scene and was wondering if anybody could help me with a few questions.
I have a 1995 Nissan 200SX SE 1.6L M/T and when I come to a stop the idle bounces up to about 1600RPM then drops down to about 900RPM.
I've tried cleaning the EGR valve and what I thought was the IAC valve without success. Nissan told me that the part I thought was the IAC valve was the IAA?? So where's the IAC valve?
My CEL also keeps coming on with code 14, vehicle speed sensor. I had a new one installed professionally but the code keeps popping up every now and then. I've searched forums everywhere and most people say they get duped into changing everything from plugs, wires, distributors, fuel filters and every other cash cow but the problem persists. The only solution I've read is that after changing the speedometer the problem stops. Has anybody else have the same issue?
I've gone to Nissan to source a new IAC valve but they told me my engine might not be the stock one according to the VIN. Can anyone tell me where I can find the serial code on the Engine block?
