Ferrari 458 Speciale - MClaren 650S - Carrera GT Hey wondering if anyone has an opinion on wich one they would prefer. Ferrari 458 Speciale Mclaren 650S Carrera GT Cheers |
Carrera GT :sweetjesus: Value is going up for them too i believe |
carrera GT but to bad i can't afford any of those anyways :okay: |
Well, you're really the expert as you've likely driven them while we are generally limited to watching and reading about them, but I would go with the Maclaren 650s. I actually prefer the Carrera GT but the reputation for it being an incredibly difficult car to drive would be enough to prevent me driving it on public streets. If I were looking for a track car, however, I would go with it. |
Ferrari 458 Speciale Alldayerrday! |
RIP PAUL WALKER!! And still I would take the risk with my life if it means I could drive a Carrera GT. Dangerous car to drive and stiff clutch but what a adrenalin rush it would be to drive. Anybody who says they wouldn't take a Carrera GT if given the opportunity then they don't know just how good that car is. Widely regarded as better than the F40 and have the sexiest car exhaust tone even better than 360 Challenge Stradale W/Tubi http://i.imgur.com/TUpL0Gm.jpg http://i.imgur.com/cuKoOS8.gif |
GTR, obviously. /timpo |
Whichever one is cheapest to insure. |
the question is.. what are you going to use it for..? CGT - investment piece 458 and 650S - the hooning machines |

I think the Mclaren is great performance but will drop the most in price, The CGT will be the best value but the ferrari would be great performance and i think it would hold its value well. |
both 458 and 650S will drop in value rapidly... for the next 10 years. CGT imo is still one class above the 458 and 650S. CGT being the hyper limited production hyper car, the 650S a supercar for masses and the 458 being a limited volume low weight special. CGT - for investment/ enjoyment 458 - track day 650 S - street machine / track day end of the day, its how much money you want to lose for your enjoyment! |
I think Carrera GT is in different class/era :suspicious: Porsche Carrera GT: US$448,000 Ferrari 458 Italia: US$227,325 McLaren 650S: US$265,000 |

rennlist forums 6speedonline forums ferrarichat forums luxury4play forums If you get the Porsche I would wash your car/buff/detail for a opportunity to have a test drive http://i.imgur.com/BeTWpKO.gif |
I'd get a 458S/650S as a track car/ regular driver and (if your budget allows it) a Ford GT/993 TT |
Which ever number is more limited is the one you should buy on an investment perspective. |
CGT>458S>Mac |
Does the OP even know how to drive manual? |
I would go with the 458 as I prefer the look of the car the most but a part of me thinks the 650s might be more fun to drive out of the two im not a fan of the look of the cgt nor its reputation of being hard to drive so it wouldn't even be considered |

Thanks for all your help guys i think ive narrowed it down to the 458 and the CGT. Ill let you know what i decide! As for SharkTank asking why i ask these forums; I ask them since i have been around these forums a long time and i feel like the people on these forums love cars, not just the image a car gives you or as some say the "Baller status" but for the pure love of cars and how they can make someone feel when you are driving. Cheers again guys thanks! |
For anyone who doesn't know, Op is actually a car guy, not just another rich dude with money. He had another username as well but forgot what it was. And I would choose CGT as well.. That car is pretty much legendary |
