Kits beach, across English Bay - but it's just as packed.

Cypress viewpoint isn't bad but after a while the smoke obstructs your view. also go early.

If you don't want to go down there, I saw that SHAW lets you watch off their On Demand section... not sure if it costs money, just noticed it on the fireworks website.

Shaw TV presents live coverage of the 27th Annual Honda Celebration of Light. It’s not only Vancouver's biggest event, it’s also the largest offshore fireworks competition in the world and it attracts up to 400,000 spectators along English Bay each evening.

This year, teams from the USA, France and Japan compete for the title. Event coverage with hosts Johanna Ward and Paul McLellan starts at 9:30 pm with team profiles, firework set-up and interviews with judges and spectators.

At 10 pm the fireworks will be broadcast live.
It’s only on SHAW TV July 26th, July 30th and August 2nd

The Honda Celebration of Light only on SHAW TV Channel 4.

I wanted to watch France :/

CharlesInCharge 07-31-2014 01:19 AM

Was tonights fireworks really good compared to past shows? I havent attended them for a few years, just looked over the top half from my window, but I went tonight and it looked good.

HonestTea 07-31-2014 01:26 AM

France was very good tonight!

etodac 07-31-2014 10:09 AM

I thought France was mediocre. The music didn't match well with the fireworks. Hoping Japan is better on Saturday (anime music???)

Holy hell the cypress viewpoint is not the place to go to watch this.

I've never seen the viewpoint that busy before.
