Do not miss this movie. The lulls in action are only so you can take a breath. I haven't felt this kind of excitement since Terminator 2, and this movie eclipses it. This movie is so metal.

Jayboogz 05-16-2015 02:00 AM

cant be the only one thinking we were playing twisted metal the whole time hahahahahah!

Ulic Qel-Droma 05-16-2015 02:54 AM

Presto 05-16-2015 10:30 AM

I was hitting the MFLB the whole time. What a ride!

EDIT: seeing it again today. we're bringing my wife's sister and her husband. there goes all of my free vouchers :D

One thing people are remarking on is apparently there is a lot of 'expressed' character development/back story that is acted out and not explained to the audience

I noticed some for sure, but these hardcore fans seem to say there Is a tonne more than I noticed

Maybe a second viewing will clear that up

Go to the VIP and sit in the front row, and lay the seat all the way down...you'll be immersed, may miss a few subtleties though as I did, but it was awesome

I wish I watched it in DBox. I noticed the chars were moving A LOT. My favourite part of the movie is the guitar dude. The guy is so dedicated to his guitar playing job it's hilarious.

pastarocket 05-20-2015 08:27 PM

One of the best movies that I've ever seen. Charlize Theron is one fine actress! :fuckyea:

GabAlmighty 05-20-2015 10:13 PM

Soooooooooo good. My blood was pumping the entire time. Gonna have to do what you people are doing and go see it a second tome in theatres. Just hate watching movies in 3d... Thankfully I didn't watch it in 3d the first time around.

StylinRed 05-23-2015 07:45 PM

The Director says the best version of the film is in B&W and he's hoping/planning to have a B&W version released on Blu-Ray (he also prefers the 3D version to 2D)

“We spent a lot of time in DI (digital intermediate), and we had a very fine colorist, Eric Whipp. One thing I’ve noticed is that the default position for everyone is to de-saturate post-apocalyptic movies. There’s only two ways to go, make them black and white — the best version of this movie is black and white, but people reserve that for art movies now. The other version is to really go all-out on the color. The usual teal and orange thing? That’s all the colors we had to work with. The desert’s orange and the sky is teal, and we either could de-saturate it, or crank it up, to differentiate the movie. Plus, it can get really tiring watching this dull, de-saturated color, unless you go all the way out and make it black and white.”

He's also going to inclue an audio track with no dialogue at all and just the music

Good movie but D-box is overkill. I had to turn it off, my buddy left it on and his ass was sore by the end.

Vansterdam 05-24-2015 02:20 PM

10/10 def watch it in DBOX 3D baked

quite possibly one of the BEST action movies I have ever seen holy fuck it was amazing

and yea ass was sore by the end LOL

i remember there being one...

Qmx323 05-24-2015 11:08 PM

Amazing. Not a dull moment, action sequences spoke for themselves

10/10

yep, but even on low it's horrible imo..watched godzilla with it and the map? they used didn't match the movie really, wasn't enjoyable with it at all so i've never went dbox again

SkinnyPupp 05-25-2015 02:24 AM

D-Box seems like such a dumb thing to add to movies FailFish

I watched Mad Max in Atmos and it was pounding the seat hard enough. Perfect movie to be introduced to that format :awwyeah:

3 settings, but even on low it's to much for a movie like that where the action is non stop and the seats always moving. I'll probably never watch another D Box movie again.

Agreed! It's like seeing a water-based movie and a sprinkle comes on at the right moments. No thanks. Ha! These are movies, not amusement rides.
