PARKA WITH FUR COLLAR - Coats and Trench coats - MAN | ZARA Canada

No. I would not rely on any Zara jacket to keep you warm.

+1 on the hunt for a new jacket. Old one is now way too big for me.

Commuting around DT + Transit for new job. Winter is coming :okay:

I'm a fan of Arcteryx. If I can make do with a Cerium LT mid layer wrapped in a Beta AR jacket while dealing with the Interior weather, it's more than sufficient for the Lower Mainland. :p

I notice more and more people wearing Arc'teryx. Good products, customer service & warranty. Plus they are a North Vancouver company.

Armind 10-25-2014 12:33 PM

Where can I find em here?

Depends on your job. If you don't need to look professional just grab a Water prof jacket since you are taking transit you are going to need it.

Armind 10-25-2014 02:48 PM

Pretty casual/business smart, as I am a designer. Looking for something nice and warm. :accepted:

yes, it was a fucking gongshow. I should've listened to other people's advice about going but nope I was an idiot.

The line was barely moving, I gave up an hour in. People started lining up 8 hours in advance. Mostly Mainlanders in the crowd, quite possibly buying in bulk to profit back in Asia like the iphones. The parking lot was full with range rovers and bimmers...I thought I was in Richmond.

wyuzz 10-25-2014 07:34 PM

With the unpredictable we get I'd just get an arcteryx ar or a Patagonia ultralight down hoody. I recently purchase mine from liveoutthere.com using one of their codes I was able to get off from someone on rfd, saved about $160.

www.thelasthunt.com is another good alternative but they haven't updated their inventory in a long time but if you're able to find something in your size then its a pretty hot deal imo.

I was there last winter during their "polar vortex" when it was -30 for one whole week, Canada Goose was the staple of winter jackets just like the north face we have here. But now theres another companies such as nobis, artic bay, moose knuckles, cmfr and osc ( outdoor survival canada ) all that will run you at least $600.

Theres always a cheaper alternative such as mec and eddie bauer
