| Lunar Eclipse: A Red Moon and the Draconid Meteor Shower.
The moon, also known as the blood moon, is gonna turn red during the lunar eclipse this Wednesday morning.
Then a meteor shower is also happening during the eclipse.
The lunar eclipse starts at 3:15am this Wednesday, lasting for about an hour.
Unlike a solar eclipse, you can see it without needing to protect your eyes.
Who's gonna wake up to watch this eclipse? Lunar eclipse tonight may highlight Draconid meteor shower - Technology & Science - CBC News

Went to Burnaby Mountain at about 2:30, saw the moon with a halo around it. It was pretty neat, super bright and all. But then clouds started coming over at about 3:30, so we decided to book it over to Cypress for a better view. Still cloudy though, but I did see the red moon for a brief moment. Wasn't really red, it had more of a reddish-orange tinge. Tried to take pics, but my weak 200mm lens didn't do shit. Eventually the clouds completely covered it at about 4, so we gave up and went home. Sleep time now.

Guess it was last night for us.. Nothing right now, although it is a SUPER bright full moon... Too bad, it's so clear outside, it would have been perfect |
