Driven the P85 many times, gives me whiplash every time I punch the pedal. Can't imagine this |
I bet it will launch just like this http://6.share.photo.xuite.net/jun04...00294775_m.jpg actually, it is on youtube now |
If you had driven a Tesla before, you'd wish every car would accelerate like that. That linear power delivery is incredible and one cannot get enough. And that was from my buddy's 85 (non performance)... I can't imagine what a beast this would be. |
I want to drive a tesla :okay: or at the very least try it out |

If this thing is under $150,000, it might be in some ways, game over. :( |
Wish they had put more effort in the exterior styling of this car |
The Tesla styling is starting to grow on me. |
does the car read the speed limit signs to adjust how fast it's going? or is it something else... |
Impressive. Now they've just gotta figure out how to make those batteries lighter. |
heavy car still! but what isn't nowadays |

I test drove the Tesla. It's boring. The interior is made out of high quality materials and its incredibly roomy. But the driving part is lackluster. For all the HP and power and torque it is rated at, there is zero feel to it. It's all bland. |

In 50 years you can take a 20 year old who has only ever driven electric cars... Put them in cars we drive today, like a 5.0 Mustang or like an original SiR b16a or whatever... they will shit bricks! The experience will be like going from a modern car back to a horse and buggy! People will not even know what to think then the motor is screaming and the entire car vibrates from the engine's natural vigor. Dare I say that the internal combustion engine is super masculine compared to the gentle feminine touch of an electric motor? |
|
Just realized this thing's acceleration is equal of that of a Mclaren p1 to 60mph. that's amazing! |
why would it piss me off? GT-R will still smoke that shit |

The major difference is that for gas/diesel-powered cars, you need to wait for the rev up in order to have that maximum torque; however the rev number might be for the engine and the time the engine requires to get there at full throttle. But for Tesla, there is no delay. You floor it, and you are at the maximum torque the instant you do that. |

if owner can have a secondary battery charging at home, and can easily be replaced, then it can be a lot lighter with smaller battery pack. |
