Cadillac ATS-V Coupe M4 fighter http://image.automobilemag.com/f/869...e-quarters.jpg http://image.automobilemag.com/f/869...pe-cockpit.jpg Quote:
pretty much matches M4 specs, probably similar price. Interesting to see head to head comparisons |
This looks pretty hot. I wonder if the fully loaded price is going to be expensive.. |
If anyone needs more info or is looking to place an order, don't hesitate to PM me. |
Shame it won't have an LT1 under the hood. I know the benefits of FI 6 or 4-cyl engines nowadays outweigh the benefits of larger displacement NA engines, but these cars won't ever have that feel of an NA V8 or produce the same sound. It's the same reason I'd rather take an RC F over any of these new boosted V6 engined two door performance coupes. |
6 speed manual? :megusta: |
mm looks pretty good would love to see a head2head between the m4, ats-v, rcf, c amg |
you can't replace a M3/M4 with a Cadillac. |
Similar specs and price? Sorry but why the hell would I choose a Cadillac over M4? |

99.9% of people who will drive this or the M4 will drive them like grannies |

If you would consider this over an M4 at the same price point you are: a) Old as dirt b) Have no grasp on what kind of engineering goes into an M car c) All of the above When your not sure, go with c)! |
It will be interesting to see what they price the ATS-V at. Of course, ATS-V vs M4 is no contest (M4 wins), but I wouldn't be surprised if they price it very close to the 335 or S4. It's hard to ignore that value proposition. It's similar to what Caddy did for the CTS-V vs M5. |
If this was substantially cheaper, sure. At a similar price point? Not a chance in hell. |
GM always undercuts the European competition in pricing. The ATS was intended to target the 3 series and did a pretty damn good job with it. That said, Caddy and BMW have 2 different audiences altogether. Neither group would cross shop. The ATS-V could cost half the price of the M4 and the M4 would still probably sell more units. The average V buyer cares more for 0-60 & 1/4 mile times than the complete package. |
If you buy a BMW without testing both you are a poser. |
the BMW M = automatically better mentality really has to get snuffed out like :seriously: i dislike domestics and caddy's but i'm still willing to see how the testing reviews pan out |
Will definitely be 10-20k (if not more) less than an m4. While I agree the m4 is pretty hard to compete with, I wouldn't knock the ATS-V until you have driven both. |

http://hdwallpappers.com/images/wall..._wallpaper.jpg I cant imagine this: http://image.automobilemag.com/f/869...e-quarters.jpg compared to this, on aesthetics alone. http://www.bimmerpost.com/storyimage...-7f33-3553.jpg |
^ that was actually pretty badass aztec showcar with an LS1 and six speed cadillac has shown steady improvement. they dont make excuses anymore the ATS is same price as 3 series, most mags say it has best handling of entry luxury cars. I expect ats-v will be similar price to M4 and give it a good run. biggest advantage for me is cadillac will probably depreciate into my price range much sooner |

As for the caddy looking like a modded Aztek, I want some of whatever the hell you're smoking.. |
