Takata Airbag Recall in e46 BMWs
Surprised this hasn't been posted since every BMW dealership right now is doing recalls for people. Something worth checking out if you haven't already had this dealt with.

BMW reviewing whether to replace driver-side Takata air bags | Reuters

Cliff notes: apparently Takata air bags in e46s would send pieces of Shrapnel into vehicle occupants. Easiest way to check if you need a recall is call BMW and supply your VIN. I had my airbag replaced yesterday.

I got a letter from them a while ago. But they said they didn't have any supply of replacements yet.
