I've had two vizios and they are solid...no complaints. The 42" one I have is an old LCD HDTV that is pushing 8 years old...I would be happy to replace it but it is still going so it will likely be downgraded from the bedroom to the office as a monitor or workout room tv.

The first one didn't poop out either...afaik the person I gifted it to is still using it.

They're pretty good as a TV. The 4K is not very good though.. Something wrong with the software and over sharpens everything. Best bang for the buck is the lowest E series. With the M series you're just paying for the exterior looks of the TV with little to no improvement on the quality of the TV.

just picked this up from Amazon.com... free shipping to Alaska with prime + $10 off
Tested it out with my phone and the TV... pretty good sound for the price (edit: this was 189.99 a couple days ago... sorry!)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...HB52V1SZDJ6760

now getting it home would take some creativity...

I looked into these recently and the reviews are quite good. The E series are mid-range but well priced for their size and features, while the M series are higher end but still cheaper than bigger brands. FS had a 60" E series on for ~$850 and now the M series (I think) is on sale. If I was in the market for a 50+ inch TV then the Vizio would probably be near the top of my list (a decent 60" for under $900 is, based on my research, a great deal). Disclaimer: I don't own a Vizio and haven't even seen one in person, but I did spend more than a few hours reading many, many reviews.

There is a few evenings worth of material here Official 2014 Vizio Exxx-Bx Series owners thread - Page 70 - AVS Forum

good luck
i just grabbed the 54" S5...it also had the same silly box.
soundbars have come a long way...they sound pretty good to a noob like me. The crossover on my set is pretty dead-on out-of-the-box.

Woman Kills Three For Last 85-Inch 4k TV at Denver Walmart - The Daily Currant

Quote:
A woman was arrested today for stabbing to death three shoppers at a Denver-area Walmart in order to secure the store's last 85-inch Samsung 4K definition television, which was on sale for $299.99.

According to local reports, Mary Jane Robbins, a married mother of two, reportedly wrestled her competitors to the ground before fatally wounding them with a sharpened Phillips head screwdriver.
