LaFerrari FXXK

http://i1.mirror.co.uk/incoming/arti...s1023/FXXK.jpg

Quote:

this insane track variant gets a 101 hp boost bringing the total output to 1036 hp. That is 848 hp from the naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 and an additional 187 hp from the electric motor. Torque sits at “over 664 lb-ft.” Ferrari didn’t release 0 to 60 mph information, but odds are this car will beat the standard LaFerrari’s 2.9-second sprint.

Special components included on the FXXK engine include new camshafts, redesigned intake manifolds and mechanical tappets replacing the traditional hydraulic units.

Aerodynamically, Ferrari managed to add 50 per cent more downforce over the standard LaFerrari with 1,190 pounds of downward force at 133mph

limited to probably about 30 units
LaFerrari FXXK Revealed As a Track-Only 1,036-HP Hypercar » AutoGuide.com News

what were they thinking with that name...as if laferrari wasn't bad enough
that spoiler...can't complain if it's functional
rumour has it that owners have to leave their FXXK at the track with ferrari and can't tow it home :seriously:

as a bonus, here's the prototype sporting a nice camber when the rear axle was murdered at monza's chicane

Jgresch 12-03-2014 10:15 AM

Does the K stand for KERS or...?

Looks like a zero FXXKs given build. Nice job!

TheStig 12-03-2014 04:20 PM

Hybrid stuff aside, winding out that 6.3L V12 to its 9250 RPM redline and making 848 HP in the process sounds like a very, very fun time!

mb_ 12-03-2014 04:25 PM

Look's like a fxxking beast!!!

punkwax 12-03-2014 05:03 PM

That sound :sweetjesus:

underscore 12-03-2014 05:25 PM

I wonder who will buy one, since you can't hardpark it on the street and very few people will even be capable of both affording it and driving it it tailors to a pretty tiny market.

Those who are selected to buy them, will buy them. Likely a similar group of 30 to those who bought the fxx.

How does that work? You have to fly to Monza/Marenello in your private jet everytime you wish to drive your car? I'm sure with enough cash a rich arab royal can bring it back to his private car collection.

Not just Italian race tracks, any standard circuit works I think. Very common in Europe to have a track close to cities and towns, we are so poor in Canada... :fuckthatshit:

Marshall Placid 12-03-2014 10:41 PM

NA. Oh yeah.

Those sounds... drooled (no really, I did, just a little).

so does ferrari have to send out a race team to your local track everytime? :concentrate:
or as long as it doesn't leave the track it's okay?

there's gotta be some XX owners on here to chime in. :derp:

I don't think Ferrari could be bought out like that. I mean they made deadmau5 unwrap his car. If there was a number that they would allow you to take home the FFX they would probably make it something ridiculous, like north of $50m to deter people.

Manic! 12-04-2014 11:32 AM

You could not take the ZXX home thats why the owner of ZR auto had his Ferrari Enzo modded to ZXX specs.

Five seconds. That's the gap between the ‘standard', 950bhp LaFerrari and the monster LaFerrari FXXK around Ferrari's private Fiorano test track
...
As ever, data logged by those 40 lucky souls who'll get to pilot the FXXK at Ferrari events will be used by Maranello to inform - as the XX programme has always done - the next generation of Ferrari's road cars. A cursory glance at the astonishing trajectory of this line then, will confirm that things will only get faster.

Inb4 aftermarket makes disjointed wings for your run of the mill FRS and S chassis.

Not really an issue with money. More of an issue with stupid hippies in Downtown complaining about the noise and potential pollution....That's one of the reasons why we don't have the Moslon Indy anymore.
