Winter Protection

Wondering home any of you guys are doing anything additional to protect your cars over the winter months.
I know some like to throw a nice coat of wax on there as an additional barrier of protection, others switch up there waxes and use something more durable (marine waxes work great for that).

Just curious to see how many people are crazy like me and end up washing the car every couple days over winter :P

I wax more frequently, I've got the 3M clear on the front bumper, hood, and fronts of mirrors which helps a lot. I cringe every time I pass an oncoming semi and wait for the windshield to crack (just happened last week!!!) I find it always needs replacing in the spring. I bought fluid film from can tire in the fall and put a nice layer on the underside for added protection too.
