Yeah you are TOTALLY right, BC just cancelled aircare for NO reason and didn't consider anything. They just want more CO2 in the atmosphere I guess. Do you know of any other conspiracies?

EDIT: Just so you know, we have it really REALLY easy here in BC. When I was living in Ontario, whenever you BUY a vehicle and want to register it, it needs to be INSPECTED fully. Just to give you an idea, if you have ANY leaks, it fails..... If your ABS light is on, FAIL.... If you have RUST in your wheel wells, FAIL! Because someone can cut them selves on it as they are walking past the vehicle.

So please stop bitching about a few dollars extra on insurance, and mechanics not having jobs. Trust me, it isn't like they rely on people failing aircare for business.

i think you took his comment wrong...

there was no conspiracy theory from what he posted. what he was saying was just that exactly what you described. since aircare is gone, what should we expect? what if they turn BC into the same system as Ontario? it's just speculation on what may end up being present in BC now that aircare is gone.

i highly doubt that BC would have no mandatory inspection for too long before something else is there

I bet this is all a scheme to get people to install all the illegal mods and then launch an inspection program and screw everyone overcome. Haha

Did you even read what I posted?

I never even mentioned the increased cost of insurance. A few bucks extra a month isn't going to kill anybody.

And when did I say I was worried about mechanics' jobs? I'm not one, and frankly I don't care.... I am just saying that it is highly unlikely that AirCare won't be replaced by something else more strict such as your Ontario example.
