That whole area is a lot of fun, depending on how far you're willing to go Hwy 7 is fun until Agassiz, if I'm not in a rush I always use that instead of Hwy 1 when heading to/from Van.

I ride the seawall in Stanley park while baked at 3 AM sometimes

Often will hear loud ass cars going through the park. Funny thing to see group of FOB looking asians driving golf balls into the ocean from Brockton Point, came across a group of them and a few were smoking old-time tobacco pipes. Was hilarious, asian hipsters?

Cypress lookout looks great, especially when there's a bit of cloud over the city. The clouds light up in all different colours and it really does look magical. Bit too cold to cuddle right now though.

Imagine breaking down between treehouse and west end :ifyouknow: :Pbjt: :ratedb:

SW marine dr is pretty good right now between 49th and granville but watch out for stray road closed signs and cops. Road closed thing is bullshit until you hit angus dr.

I probably shouldn't be using the term "cruising" quite so liberally now...

I most definitely have never done this, and if you end up wrapping yourself round a pole don't come crying to me, BUT:

This is an epic loop, I used to live just up the street, and I have driven both sides of this loop from taylor way to collinwood school countless times.

Google maps says 8 minutes...:ifyouknow:

True story about that pole wrapping, I knew someone who pretty much did just that in this Loop. It is quite a nice drive though.

cypress route is no more it seems.. tried to go up to the viewpoint a few nights back and the road was closed about 5 minutes up, sign said closed 11pm-6am or something like that :( hopefully it's just temporary?

jinxcrusader 01-03-2015 03:47 AM

That cypress thing was there in June/July 2014 too.

Infinitii 05-20-2015 06:27 PM

Is the cypress route gone now?

Sneaky 05-20-2015 07:23 PM

They just close at 11 each night, I've run into this a few times.

Nighttime Drives

at the sasquatch inn. take a left if you just bomb down that road you come to single lane curves along side a lake and through forest.the road turns into gravel after a good 20k.

Tone Loc 05-20-2015 09:58 PM

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was at Stanley Park not too long ago in my 4Runner... there are definitely more speed bumps now, if your car is low you may have problems especially if you're bombing a corner and you aren't expecting it...

J89 05-20-2015 10:18 PM

Who's down to go for a cruise right now :)

SpeedStars 05-20-2015 10:30 PM

Couldn't see sheet last time I went around Stanley park at night, fog just came up out of nowhere :heckno:. I know of a place you SHOULDNT cruise around at night though...Iona beach...super quiet, no lights, and all you hear are crickets....there are quite a few cars there at night though...with fogged up windows...doing I wonder what :suspicious::pokerface:

underscore 05-21-2015 07:57 AM
