just bought PIA last month, so far so good! Just annoyed that I have no clue how to set it up on my router, i think i have to buy a new router to do it though. anyone know anything about the reinstall tap driver? Can anyone do a ELI5 on it? I seem to have to do it every time I re connect, would rather eliminate that step. |
Usenet + encrypted ssl is all you need |

Keep the info and reviews coming. I need to learn more about VPN and the different services offered. |

For example, if you're on a 25Mbps connection. most entry level to mid-end routers can only sustain a 3 to 7 Mbps encrypted connection. Best bet is to set it up on each device. |

At least this is what I found. Still worth the speed hit for me. |
btw. Private Internet Access (PIA) doesn't keep any log files if anyone was wondering. Quote:

I was wondering the same thing last year when I also tested the speed and got higher speeds when my VPN was turned on and I posted this question on the forums and that's what I remember the members telling me. So I don't really know how to get an accurate speed test rating with the VPN turned on... |
VPN speedtests are never accurate, so take that with a grain of salt. Best way to test VPN download speed is to download a large file from a reputable site that has fast servers like Ubuntu.com (Linux ISO) or Microsoft servers. They will also tell you the location of their servers. |
We have an account with PIA now. I'll make a new thread later this afternoon... For now here's our link if you're dying to torrent behind a VPN ;) |
Any deals lined up for PIA for current users? or just new users? I think alot of us use PIA |

I checked their FAQ but my question wasn't there. I'm just curious about 5 devices simultaneously, does this mean that I could "share" my account with 4 other friends on PCs? Or are these devices things like phones, ipad and etc? |
You can share your account. If there's too many people using it though you won't be able to log in. It's like netflix. |
