Nexus 5 issues looking for place to repair

My nexus 5 is currently in a bootlopp and I can't seem to fix it.

http://www.revscene.net/forums/68799...ml#post8576888

This chronicles my struggles over the past 3-4 days.

I'm looking for a place that can get this done for me because currently my only other option is to have it sent through rogers to the LG repair center which apparently will cost me $30 after they take a look at it and quote me even if I don't go with them to repair.

Thanks in advance.

Depending on where you are, I'd suggest JP Cell repair. I've heard good things and I believe they're an RS sponsor.

if your "bootlopp" problem meaning phone goes on & off & on & off (rebooting) by itself even without touching it, which happened to me before...
try ticking / tapping the power button with your finger nail lightly until you see dust and dirt came out. Its a common problem if you keep your phone inside your pocket most of the time and at least it worked for me!

JP Cellular managed to get the phone almost working.

First time it was kitkat but no cell connectivity and IMEI was wiped.

He rebuilt IMEI or w/e and flashing lolipop and the only things that were not working was the camera (front facing was working fine) and the battery would not charge past a 3%. It would never die if it was connected but it wouldn't go higher.

Dropped the phone off again and we'll see what happens when I call later today.

OK so I got the phone back and he solved the charging and flashlight issue.

The only issue left, and I'm not sure I care at all because I hate going back and forth (it would be the 4th time), is the flash does not work with the camera.

The flashlight option works from the drop down on the phone when the camera app isn't selected but as soon as you run the cam the flashlight disapears from the screen and there is no flash option. Odd.

Anyways $70 repair cost, $115 speeding ticket, $12 in skytrain fares later I fixed my phone.
