I was just watching Conan and Elizabeth Banks was one of the guest. She mentioned about the Doritos commercial contest and how's she's involved in it. Pretty cool she called up all the winners. She also mentioned the 10 finalists will be attending the Super Bowl and they will all be watching it in one room. The winner won't be announced until their commercial is randomly aired during the game.

Most of the other ones have a negative story to them. Guy slips on a bag of doritos and throws his chick off the roof? Thats a good image for Doritos, lol. Kids lying to cops? A grown man acting like a spoiled baby?

Yours has a positive message. If you need something and are presented with a challenge to receive it, do something to achieve it! Plus it has a catch phrase. And its cute and well produced.

Now I want doritos... damn you, advertising!

RRxtar, I agree, I mean they are supposed to be "bold" choices for subject matter, but I do find a few of them to be pretty dark. Worth showing, but not during the Super Bowl. I do think ours is simple, fun, and to the point, with no real drawbacks.

As a matter of fact, it's been discovered that the kids in the back seat one is a ripoff of a famous ad:
