Does anyone have a battery spot welder? I've got lots of cordless power tools and some of the batteries are getting weak and one is completely dead, so it's way cheaper to replace the cells than upgrade to lithium tools and batteries.
I don't have one but I took the batteries from my Lincoln grease gun to Battery World on Boundary in Vancouver and they replaced the cells for half the price of a new one. It wasn't worth my time to try and do it myself and also try to find a battery spot welder to do it with.
If it was a couple of batteries, I would get someone to do it. Unfortunately between my workshop and my dad's machine shop, there's about 28 batteries that will eventually need to be re-celled plus the three that are already dead.
