was in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) Vietnam during lunar new year last year. Day or two before the actual NY, there was a mass exodus of people leaving the big city for their hometowns. City was dead for a couple of days at least (we left shortly after too).

The title should be changed to Lunar new years as there are quite a few countries that also celebrate it outside of Greater China regions. Quote:

It can be that they didn't wanna give out too little like two 10$ =20$ and can't give out two 20$ = 40$ (shouldn't give out anything that has the number 4) so two 100$ HKD = around 30$ CAD.
