I personally think its an intoxicating sound |
:lawl: imagine hearing this, then looking around only to discover in disbelief it was coming from the S80 |
Reasonably Affordable Driver's Car Timeless styling Amazing Sound |
My old 240Z with a triple Mikuni stroked L28 was amazing... Would post but not sure how to FB embed. Honestly better than the aircooleds in the garage right now. Otherwise, M5 on Eisenmann race pipes. Holy. Fuck. |
+1 to abarth. dat factory brap. I have yet to hear a car under 30k that makes that noise from the factory. +1 to 240Z as well. ran a full straight pipe with an ansa muffler. the car sings like a balanced inline 6 at high rpm. |

That's exactly the low rumble I find so alluring. The Ferrari's are nice and all, but the high revving wail sets my teeth on edge a little bit. There's something much more soothing and/or menacing about the low rumble from the M5s and apparently, that Volvo SUV! Nice find! |
E60 M5 sounds like heaven, this thread is proof of its universal appeal. May I also submit the E55 AMG: |

That vid never gets old. |
For stock exhaust, IMO, the C63 is the best sounding for the price range (70-100k). Of course, a supercar will sound better but I doubt many of us will buy one. And I mean the older 6.2L M156 motors, not the new 4.4L or whatever turbo bulls***. And I may or may not be biased towards it because I own a 2012 with the performance package. :troll: |
Surprised no one's posted any JZs. |
2JZ sounds bad ass with an external dump and the wastegate going batshit...but I wouldn't call it intoxicating....I'd lean more toward intimidating. |
These aren't in here yet? You guys make me sad This is an odd one but I love the way it sounds Bonus: Some of the greats from back in the day |

I get to hear the 6.3's, & M's all day. I prefer the 6.3's over the M's sound any day. |
How the fuck has nobody mentioned Datsuns? |
