Evo Meet
 

Hey all,

This idea got started in the 2015 latest pics of your whips thread, as there seem to be more Evo's kicking around these days. Tofu and I were thinking some time in March. We could even arrange it as a pre meetup for the Spring Launch

My days off for the March are Sun/Mon, except for the 1st. So I'm trying to see just how much interest there would be in such a meet up.

We could get some cool pics, and cruise around for a bit maybe.

So, I guess it's sort of an Evo owner roll call.. :fullofwin:

Sweet, so with Tofu included that brings us upto 5? Is everyone planning to goto the Spring Meet next week? I like the idea of a pre-meet and a bunch of Evo's rolling up together.

We could even try to arrange it for tomorrow, short notice, but the spring meet is so close. As for locations, I think we may be able to get some decent pics at the location below, yes in the parking log under the marker. If anyone else has a better spot feel free to post it.

Cool, got a good turn out going so far. Guess I should set a time.. lol

Im far to indecisive for this.. Still cant decide between pre-meet next week or another day.

Okay, well then..

I think the location I've posted up above would work good as a quick meeting point for a pre-meet, as it's fairly central and not too far from the Spring Launch which starts at 11am.

Leaving Queen E Park @ around 10am incase there's a massive line of people trying to get into Spanish Banks, and more chance of parking all in the same area..

So how does that setup sound for the pre-meet?
I'm going to hit up the Ironwood Plaza meet tomorrow I think, so we can kind of have a mini-meet within the regular Sunday meets if any of you are going.

I gotta get to work now, so I'll start figuring out the regular Evo meet time.

tomorrow night at Ironwood Plaza sounds nice as well if the sun is out!

Nice meeting everyone. Highlight for me was the Tarmac black IX MR SE...I know of one in Kelowna but not in the metro area...super clean and minty Jimmy! Was good to see Tofu's V and Mike's silver VI up close as well.

That was quite a fun lil meet. Good meeting everyone, was nice to see a few Evo's. Haven't been to a revscene meet in like 14 years, so was nice to get back into hanging out with people who love their cars.

Still laughing at the supra and Mr2 that showed up, stood beside their cars without being social at all with the rest of us.

Thanks, it was great seeing other EVO owners. Finally got the chance to meet R.Mutt and his WIFEY lol.

Saw an EVO X when I was leaving, heading towards 99, but I don't think it was part of the RS scene from last night.

We doing a pre-meet before heading over to the RS meet on the 22nd?

Would be really nice if we could gather up all the EVOs and Lancers and roll in that day. That would be wicked :D

Did anybody ever figure out whether those people in the lot beside us had anything to do with Revscene? They never walked over, never said hey, stood around smoking vapes, and then heckled my buddy when he got into my car because apparently its wrong to be a passenger.

No clue....one of those guys kept staring me down....I was like wtf. Couldn't tell if it was homo erotic or resentment as I'm no expert on stare downs.

Whens the next evo meet aside from the RS spring pre-meet ?

I was thinking about organizing another one but I've been extremely busy at work. With revscene around the corner I'll wait for things to die down a bit so people will be more interested in coming out.

I think Vanier park made for a really nice location and the weather was perfect that day so we should do it there again. It was maybe around 8 cars or so last time? There are a lot more evos IV, V and VI models now and even then a number of VIII, IX and X's couldn't make it. I think we could do in the vecinity of 15-20 this year on a good day when the weather is nice.

But best to leave it a few weeks after revscene to let things die down a bit so people want to come out.
