What phone mount do you use?

inb4: don't need one, my pocket, or cup holder

Use it for gps, want magnetic phone mount.

Trying to decide between these 3

http://www.amazon.com/eQualle-Magnet...ustomerReviews

http://www.amazon.com/SCOSCHE-MagicM...pr_product_top

http://www.amazon.com/iMagnet-Cradle...etic+car+mount

1st one would have more options on where I could put it with a smaller mounting base. Less reviews on this one though.

2nd one has been recommended the most and seems the most sturdy

3rd one, due to suction, would let me relocate it if i were to ever change my mind. anyone use either of these? or what do you use

car: 2015 mustang GT
phone: galaxy s5 with otterbox case that came with the phone

I use a dash crab fx

Dragon-88 03-05-2015 06:19 PM

Expensive, but we use these on our scoots and motorcycles. Holds the phone really tight works really well.

I use a sticky gumby pad thing my company gets made as a giveaway....sticks to your dash and your phone sticks to it.

considering this one

I use the third one.

One thing I don't like about it is that you need to have the metal piece secured to your phone somehow. I use a case, so I just tuck it between the case and the phone, but if you don't have a case, may be problematic.

I really like how convenient it is to put on/remove. You slap it on when you get in the car, and grab & go when you leave. No adjusting necessary. Also, it feels a lot better than one of those sticky adhesive mounts.

Kenu Airframe is great! Low profile, good build quality.

Kenu Airframe - Kenu

its awesome! but $25

Acethriller 03-05-2015 11:39 PM

+1 I use the Kenu Airframe+ too, it's $30 at Staples.
Pretty solid mount and minimalistic when not in use. Though it would be recommended that you'd be able to individually close a single air vent as you don't want hot air blowing on your phone during the winter seasons.

I bought one of these, when it was in its Indiegogo campaign. Ingenious design. And the video was entertaining, which was a good part of why I bought it. Because I can relate to the feeling of when something fits just right :ifyouknow:

But when I got it, it didn't quite work well with my aftermarket Pioneer deck, as it was attached to the faceplate which is pretty weak around the CD slot.

But I gave it to my mom and installed it in her '09 Subaru Impreza. Fits tight, and works awesome. Although, I did have to modify it slightly as her Iphone 5s with case fit too snugly. But now it works great. I like supporting outside-the-box ideas like this one.

Kenu Airframe. Super simple and effective air vent clip. Got it for cheap from work.

I use this whic is great if your car has a Cd slot, holds the phone securely and in a good position and makes use of my otherwise useless Cd slot

I bought something like this on Aliexpress
Universal Car Phone Holder CD Slot Mount Cradle for iphone 6 5 5S 5C for Samsung Smartphone-in Holders & Stands from Phones & Telecommunications on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

Took about a month to get here though.

My iPhone 5 I has a life proof case and got the mount as well and to be honest its the best I have ever had for quality and for price as well. They don't have one for the 6 yet but I'm waiting for it to come out before I get the case.

meme405 03-06-2015 08:17 AM

I don't have a ram mount for my phone, but my work truck utilizes one for my laptop. Expensive, but very effective, and high quality. I would assume their phone mounts are just as good.

mos_skeeto 03-06-2015 08:28 AM

iOttie is good quality stuff:

I like its design where it sits on your dash but it isn't bulky due to it's angle. It stuck to my plastic dash even if I had little textured grooves going up and down.

I use one of those green and black arms that suction cup to the window, and have a sticky faceplate for the phone. I forget what they're called but I got one for free at the AutoShow back when it was at BC place.

cool product, so you don't think it'll flex and mess up the disc feeding mechanism after a while?

I use Mountek

I don't use my CD player in the car anyway. It's really sturdy have had it for 2 years now. Fits my OnePlus One, can rotate landscape as well.
