French Bulldog

So I am looking to get my first dog, and I've been wanting a french bulldog for years and it feels like now is the right time. I am just wondering where do you guys recommend for getting one? I have been checking Kijiji and they range from $1500-$4000. Should I be only getting a CKC registered dogs? I've seen some of the lower priced ones with a year health guarantee. What are you opinions on pet insurance? I understand that french bulldogs could possibly have a few health issues, would pet insurance be the best option for this?

Trupanion is the best option IMO for pet insurance. Make sure to look into the fact that you are getting your dog from a reputable breeder. Not some fucking sleaze bag selling their puppies to make a quick buck. Hopefully someone can chime in about how to determine such a thing, as I have no experience with breeders in any capacity.
