Pick And Pull Closing down?

Does anyone know if Pick and pull is closing down or just replacing every vehicle in the lot? i went there on the weekend and there was literally like 12 cars in total.

PandaDog 04-06-2015 11:21 PM

Yes, they are closing down most of the locations. I went 2 weeks ago on the last day, it was half price on parts

Yodamaster 04-06-2015 11:59 PM

WHAT?

I was just going to go look for some parts for my Subaru, FUCK.

Anyone know why? They were the best..

on Mitchell island? unlikely.

jpark 04-07-2015 01:22 AM

Yes, they are all closing down, both Ricemond and Slurrey location on the 10th of April.
Schnitzer steel wasn't seeing any profit at all, in fact they were losing money from the whole operation the entire time.

Gh0stRider 04-07-2015 04:52 AM

Damn, that sucks. Need parts

alstare00 04-07-2015 05:46 AM

Where to get parts now...?
Need springs that fit lancer 06

The price of scrap taking another dump only made things worse.

It's too bad cause they had a lot of newer cars.

euromoron 04-07-2015 07:16 AM

That's depressing, now where am I gonna get parts for my VW when it kicks the bucket?

teggy604 04-07-2015 10:06 AM

there still a few auto wreckers there, but not pick and pull.
if you want pick and pull you will have to drive to Chilliwack.

SpeedStars 04-07-2015 10:08 AM

Kelowna is still open though :fuckthatshit: I still have some pick n pull credits :fuuuuu:

nsx042003 04-07-2015 10:11 AM

fuckk...the days of getting cheap parts are gone

jing 04-07-2015 10:31 AM

Bring back Ralphs!

Mancini 04-07-2015 04:34 PM

Bad news. I've picked up many accessories and replacement parts for my older car. I've saved a ton of money.

Ralphs was run by a bunch of dickholes, this place was professional.

!Aznboi128 04-07-2015 10:07 PM

I uno about you guys but I found it was a cool place to hang out to see some wrecked cars.

My friends and I went last summer to find one switch ended up having a pretty good time finding old cars like mazda 929, sera

Retrac 04-07-2015 10:11 PM

Same, I remember when I was younger with my dad in Ralph's. Just imagining all the scenarios on how everything happened. Good times :tears:

Never had any issues with the old Ralph's guys. However, i did have an issue with the cover fee at Pick n Pull. Needless to say I turned around and went home when I was informed of their new policy, lol. The cashiers were a bit condescending too iirc. Took my business elsewhere just to save $1 lulz

i-vtecyo 04-07-2015 11:48 PM

it doesnt make sense to shut down richmond and surrey instead of the kelowna one.. but regardless, it will be missed. Loved going to that place.. Its like a candy store for adults.

Too much competition down here, probably, especially when you're in a location that's surrounded by other wreckers. That's the one advantage Pick-A-Part has being in Chilliwack, there aren't a dozen other wreckers within 5 minutes.

You can still save a ton on your car insurance by switching to Geico! :troll:

overnight from Japan, bro

saveth 04-08-2015 10:35 AM

I didn't mind the admission fee. What I really liked about pick n pull was the set price for parts. When dealing with other wreckers, they like to make up a price as they go which is frustrating.

jackp0t 04-08-2015 11:57 AM

To the people who preferred Ralph's over pick and pull is on crack!
Ralph's overcharge and make up bullshit price VS pick and pull fixed pricing

That admission fee is justified if you dont go in there blind
ROW52 is an app for your phone that will allow you to check if the car you are looking for is there.

I will miss this place forsure

RuckRider 04-08-2015 10:34 PM

Pick and pull is the best autowrecking in my opinion. damn those guys give 50% off every 3months or so like damn. and membership is free, on some parts
you can actually negotiate the price. ive done it once. saved me 10$ hahaha
