TBH, this video was an example of great parenting. Tell him what he did wrong, made him understand, and then reinforced he still loved his son and that daddy is just trying to teach him something. |
as chinese my dad never use the feather duster or anything, he slapped my face with his bare hands like the bitch i am (im not joking) too many kids today getting treated like gods these days, cuz there "special" |
My parents are from India. Never got hit with a feather duster or anything. Their hands were more convenient and always ready to go. Lol |

I feel sometimes a little beating is needed to set kids right. All these bs talk about no beating is all BS. |

But you're right, I think many parents these days are way too lenient with their kids. Just the other day I was at Safeway in the cashier's line, this 2-3 year old toddler in front of me was throwing a tantrum... screaming, hitting his mom, throwing things... the mom just looked at me with that stupid pained smile and went "ohhh he's just a boy". The one and only time I ever threw a tantrum in public when I was a kid, though... let's just say my dad ensured it never happened again lol. Parents just need to get out of this whole stupid "my kid is special and everything they do is cute" mindset and start disciplining their kids so they don't turn into spoiled little shitbags when they grow older. |
To be honest, hitting a kid is not cool. There are better ways, but when your parenting skills are limited and you have little to no time to get your message across, a good lickin' is the only option. What's really bad, are those mamby pamby, poor excuse for parents who refuse to discipline their kids - fucking up their kids for life. Teach them to think twice or think things through - consequences. Real consequences not any of this limit their computer time- fucking smash the thing. Okay. Maybe not that drastic, but you get the idea. Yeah, I was a scary dad. Kids were like, "I'm sorry mom, I will never do that again. Please don't tell dad." I knew something was up when I got home and everybody is like all quiet, lol. |
i remember as i kid after my dad slaps me, he made me slap myself after i got older, my dad would just embarrass me in public by saying something & getting other ppl to put shame on me |
If your gonna smack your child be adult about it and responsible for it use your hands not an implement. Feel it. Know what youve done feel the discomfort and share in it. dont hide behind a duster or a spoon etc. I dusted my daughters ass and would do it again if I felt it was needed with the youngest but I use my hand. |

Hitting Your Kids is Legal in All 50 States:accepted: Where It?s Legal to Hit a Child in America |
Were you hit as a kid? and did they yell, "onore dozuki harimatte yaru ro." as they proceeded to karate chop you |
I don't think "beating" your kid is ok. But like hitting them in a way that won't cause serious physical harm is ok, as long as it is to teach them something and that they know it is because you care. When I was a kid I would get hit with slippers and what not, but the main reason I'm not a shithead(I think) is because my parents always showed they cared about me even when they were disappointed.\ Basically I think parents fail when: kids don't care about them, kids feel unloved, or kids are not afraid of repercussions. Parenting is a success when kids are more afraid of disappointing their parents than going to jail, getting beat up, or any other punishment. |
