Cheap powder coating for mtn bike?

Hey RS.

Wondering if anyone has a cheap hook up for powder coating an aluminum mountain bike frame? It's an older bike I've had for ~10 years. Out of boredom last year I spray bombed and rebuilt most the bike, but since it's just sat out in the weather and gone to shit.

Does anyone have a hook up for cheap powder coating? Quality of the work is not my biggest concern. The bike has already been stripped of all parts and is bare frame, tonight I'm gonna throw some paint stripper on there to get the shit spray paint off of there.

Just looking for somewhere to spray it white. Something of what a regular oem bike would be, nothing custom. Let me know!! Thanks in advance

What is your definition of "cheap"? A majority of the cost involves the powder itself. I've used Surrey Powdercoating and Surf Tech both with great results. If you want "cheap", do all the prep yourself. Go to a place that does railings for balconies and patios. They should do runs of white regularly.

I use Quality Powder Coating in Richmond. Off Vanguard near Shell. Vijay is a cool guy. He did 4 skid plates for me for $100 cash. Not sure if that is a "deal" but I'm quite happy with the final product.

the fact im in richmond would definitely be an advantage, versus saving $20 but having to go out to surrey

I figured that location would be a factor. It was for me as well. Vijay had a bunch of colors to choose from although I just needed satin black. He seemed like a nice legit guy. Family business, long standing rep, etc. He has all my powder coating business now.
