He works at 5am tomorrow , ill get back to you tomorrow as soon as i get news.

Going to try and escalate this bullshit to the top of the chains for you :)

meme405 06-07-2015 09:22 PM

Wow that's some bullshit. Everyone is just passing the buck. You should post this in the automotive forum so it gets more hits, hopefully someone will catch on.

Or hopefully Knight can hook it up, and help you get this sorted.

knight604 06-07-2015 09:31 PM

Could try to inquire through their twitter as well , to help put some pressure on them.

Retrac 06-08-2015 08:40 AM

Thanks guys, wasn't sure which forum was appropriate for this.

PayPal emailed back denying my appeal. They're still siding with the seller even after I showed them the person who signed for my package was not me.

I've tweeted to @canadaposthelps but they refer to customer service. Lol find it weird to tweet for help.

Going to call Canada post when I'm free later on today.

The seller is responding to every third email with no updates from DHL.

But yeah everyone pointing fingers at each other. I'm stuck in the middle. :okay:

jeedee 06-08-2015 10:14 AM

Still blows my mind that someone else received AND paid the duties for you :fulloffuck:

I mean I understand if they were expecting a package as well...but cmon...atleast give Retrac a call (phone number may be listed on the package) "i have your package"/tell Canada Post "this isn't my package"/personally deliver it to Retrac's address...

Really hope you somehow still get your package man

Retrac 06-08-2015 12:03 PM

Yeah your right, mind boggling. Had that shimmer of hope that the person would contact me but it's been a month...

Maybe they returned it to Canada post and it's heading back to Germany? Most possible outcomes are pretty crazy for me

underscore 06-08-2015 01:42 PM

What the hell is supposed to be the point of someone signing for something if the signature doesn't seem to matter? Your name starts with a D and the fucker signed a B according to that delivery notice.

Retrac 06-08-2015 01:46 PM

Lol name starts with C, the guy signing it starts with D.

But exactly, don't understand the need for signing if anyone can sign for it.

punkwax 06-08-2015 02:45 PM

Sorry if I missed details and am too lazy to read back, but often couriers will deliver pallets of goods to businesses who have accounts. If the receiver doesn't check each box to ensure they belong to them, they could have very well signed for yours by accident if it were missorted and included on the pallet. Said company would have accompanying duty charges billed to their account.

Maybe this is what happened and some kid has been staring at your box in the warehouse, wondering what to do with it?

knight604 06-08-2015 03:17 PM

The driver is responsible for delivering the package to the right address , so according to what ive read in this thread, you have to press hard on Canada post.

When you call into the CSR , try and ask for a manager or someone with more authority to escalate this. Do not take no for answer, tell them they are wrong.

Retrac 06-08-2015 03:50 PM

Just got off phone with Canada Post again. Same outcome, sender has to start investigation. It was sent to right address, signer paid $88.17 for duties and they don't have information on how he paid for it. No supervisor or manager until tomorrow 9am EST.

:fuuuuu:

underscore 06-08-2015 05:48 PM

That's a shit policy given that the sender has zero motivation to start an investigation. Ensure that the manager/supervisor knows of the situation you're in with PayPal and don't give up until they actually do something, saying they don't have info on how he paid for it is b/s.

Who is the seller by the way? If this is how they deal with customers I wouldn't want to buy anything from them.

Honestly, the manager or supervisor won't do jack shit except give the "oh but we delivered it to your address/my driver claims he delivered it to your address" :derp:

Had the exact same thing happen to me when I had a supervisor give me a call regarding to my missing package that said delivered but never was.

Retrac 06-08-2015 09:44 PM

Yeah that's what it seems like Canada post is going to do.

The seller is saying they're busy right now as an excuse why the communication is so slow. I don't want to put them on blast yet, but I'm stuck in between a rock and a hard place. It's been 4 days since they last responded. Feel paranoid and needy lol I just want my camshaft!

I PM'd you.

Slight update, seller has finally responded after a week. They've told me that DHL is finished their own investigation and will be initiating an investigation with Canada Post!

Hoping for the best and quicker updates from the seller!

The receiver has contacted me! A month late :rukidding: but he told me he's been out of town for the month.

Going to meet up soon and hopefully have my package soon!

jeedee 06-14-2015 01:52 PM

Can you ask him why he paid for your duties :lol

knight604 06-14-2015 01:58 PM

Glad you are getting it sorted out, too bad this week my friend was working at the downtown location, he said he would have looked into it when he's back in richmond.

meme405 06-14-2015 10:07 PM

Lol this entire thing was just ridiculous. Just glad to hear you will finally have your part.

Retrac 06-14-2015 10:12 PM

:sweetjesus: Finally

tonyzoomzoom 06-14-2015 10:23 PM

Glad to hear you got your part. I'd still file a complaint with CP - they obviously delivered to the wrong addy but were adamant that they got the right place. Dumb asses.

Retrac 06-14-2015 10:27 PM

For sure going to file a complaint, Canada Post has been ridiculous to deal with. Talking to a wall would have similar results.

The receiver said he was out of town for a month and the package was actually received by the neighbour.

The guy was a cool car guy, had a FD, and receives lots of parts as well. He procrastinated , but did call CP 2-3 times. Luckily CP was too lazy to pick it up right away.

underscore 06-14-2015 10:28 PM

Most importantly, did you have to pay the duties?

Retrac 06-14-2015 10:42 PM

He showed me the receipt so I reimbursed him $90 on the $88.17
