If you need to know.... I own a '97 Calloway C8, engine has been moved back a few inches to make it a front-mid engine car, hood, roof panel, doors, and rear spoiler changed over to CF. Tune ups are in the Ferrari price range. Sure most will say its just a Camaro with a body kit, but how many regular 1993- 2002 Camaros came from the factory with 400hp, brembo brakes and race suspension from the start.

Hate to tell you, but next to no one will be envious of this car as no one sees it as anything other than a kitted out old Camaro. No offense intended, but unless you follow domestics and there tuners then thats all it appears to be.

Yes I know that most car people will see my car as nothing more than a kitted out Camaro and I realize that, it's the same way I see an Impreza WRX, nothing more than a kitted out Impreza.

I had my midlife crisis at 29, now it's smooth sailing.... no worries about nothing, 45 may be old to some of you, and you WILL be there one day.

Do you see the constant variable? It's YOU. Not the car. It has nothing to do with envy. We live in Vancouver, we see sports cars on the daily, they're not a rare sight or experience.

You are aware that the people that are flying past you are driving cars with better brakes than 20 year old cast 2 piece Brembo calipers. That the Caravan that cut you off has bigger rotors than the wheels mounted to your car? Or how about the fact that it is making dam near the same power that a 20 year old car with a "double muffler" exhaust likely has. A 96 WRX does the 1/4 mile in the same time your car does.

No one is jealous of your car dude, your getting cut off by minivans because they DON'T care about you.

However, if your car is in fact an original, which I highly doubt it is seeing as so few were ever produced, it is a VERY rare car seeing as only 18 were built by Callaway.
