Speeding ticket in Bellingham, Washington

Hey guys,

Please excuse my grammar...

I was with my girlfriend driving her car and I got a speeding ticket in the states as I was coming back to BC after shopping around for the day

On the ticket;

-The cop put the wrong address which was my old address
-The wrong expiry date of my drivers license, he put Dec 1 but it was suppose to be Dec 17
-Wrong height

Can this ticket be voided? What should I do... do you guys have any suggestions? Please help... thanks.

Your height is by far the most important thing about a speeding ticket, so definitely don't pay it!

lol

I like the part where OP gets a ticket, lists the mistakes but doesn't say if he was actually speeding or not.

cronoh 06-08-2015 12:04 PM

well i was speeding of course ^_^... 90mph in a 70mph zone but the cop put 85mph on the ticket... another question the penalty is 144$ is that in american dollars.... :o

Quote cause you can make this shit up lol

Yes... American dollars. If you wait for the exchange rate to go up, you might pay less though.

melloman 06-08-2015 12:19 PM

Did he get the plate right?

If he did, don't bother paying it.. just never drive the same car down there again. :troll:

I hope he does! He should go to court and explain all those errors to the judge. I bet they'll throw it out!

Given China's world power in economy today, pretty sure its $144 Chinese Yuan.
But I heard 4's an unlucky number for Chinese. So just mail in $138 RMB and you'll be fine.

entrax 06-08-2015 06:47 PM

Just for peace of mind, I would pay it. Especially if they got your license plate right. You could spend time+money to drive down to the court listed on the ticket and try to get it waived, wrong information etc, but in my opinion, it's not worth it. Working that day will pay for the ticket instead of wasting my time driving down.

Also, failure to pay gets a warrant sent out. Say goodbye to troublefree border crossing.

zulutango 06-08-2015 07:19 PM

(FAIL)...this is as close as I can get. Anybody here with better technical skills?? :)

mb_ 06-08-2015 08:04 PM

Just pay it. It might be $144 but the good thing about tickets in the states is that it doesn't go on your record. You have 14 days to request for a mitigation hearing, contested hearing or pay for it. You'll have to go to court for the first 2 which is probably not worth your time.

tiger_handheld 06-08-2015 08:41 PM

just dispute it bro.
cop made mistakes on your ticket.
whats to say cop didn't mistake your mph?
show them you are not pussy.

$144 american is like a nice top for the gf.

InvisibleSoul 06-09-2015 12:43 AM

Not paying a US traffic ticket is no joke. They can literally arrest you the next time they pull you over.

Well if you want to give the specific OP a fail you should definitely write it more something like this:

/Fail_cronoh

Or perhaps:

[Fail]cronoh
