Just bitch at Telus a little and they'll give you unlimited bandwidth free. They originally were going to up my bill by $5 but I was all "Well, thanks but no thanks...Teksaavy is cheaper..." and they just said okay.

Telus high-speed customer since 2001.

Did we ever confirm that Shaw is actually charging people now? Or are they still just 'warning' everyone?

I have a 500GB monthly cap with Shaw.... last I heard anything was about three months ago when the called to let me know I was over by about double three months in a row and if I didn't get it back under the limit, they MIGHT cut service for a couple days, but they weren't going to start charging more.

Might have changed since then, but I put a bunch of limits on my torrent client and all has been quiet since then.

:suspicious:

Telus bluffing or are we still in the grace period?

:fulloffuck: Nobody else in here slipped through the cracks??
I was prepared to pay the extra $5 though. I even purposely started using up my data once I went over, and tried to get as close to the 50gb overage without going over to the next overage bucket.

Unless I go over by 150gb consistently, I don't intend on locking in for unlimited for +$15/mo.

My contract is up next month though. I wonder if that was a factor in not charging me and trying to get on my good side.
Or maybe it's my first offence since the overage charge system has been implemented.

I got spammed texts and emails (I think I set it up like that), but never got any warning calls from Telus.

I'm waiting for the bill to come in the mail.
Online meter also shows I went over with $0 of Overage Cost.
