ugh, the last guardian announced in 2009 isn't coming to the PS3 at all...i know the development retooled for PS4 recently but was hoping they'd still release a gimped version on the aging console
i hate japanese developers
don't get me started on how FF Vs XIII announced in 2006 as a PS3 exclusive will come out more than a decade later as FF XV
not to mention Polyphony Digital taking 6 years to make GT5 only to carry over 80% of PS2 models
XBO backwards compatibility - SUPER stoked for this! Forza 4 is by far my favorite 360 game of all time. That was one feature I really wanted because my 360 is about to crap out and I have a huge library of 360 games.
[Side note: I'm a little disappointed that neither consoles had a price drop. The XBO is nice but not $350 nice. ($350 gets you a console and controller. Console+controller and bundled game is $400)]
Forza 6 reveal - No real gameplay but glad to see a sequel already. Rain physics look top notch and I did spot a classic car, so hopefully there will be more 'regular' cars and overall a greater selection of cars pre-DLC. Tire wall physics are kickass. Between this, Assetto Corsa and Project CARS, Gran Turismo 7 has a lot to measure up to. Polyphony Digital needs to bring their A game.
Sony's conference was at times painful to watch. Watching them end again with Uncharted 4 was expected and to top it off, they had technical difficulties and had to reboot the game. Sadly, no mention of GT7.
New Hitman!
Final Fantasy VII remake and Shenmue 3 though. Not sure why they need a kickstarter for it, Sony can easily fund it.
Black Ops 3 was a yawn-fest. Another futuristic shooter.
Horizon and Last Guardian look sick.

Bethesta - Fallout 4. That is all.
EA & Ubisoft
Mirrors Edge: Catalyst - It looks amazing! I can't wait to play it.
South Park: Fractured but Whole - Love how they got Matt and Trey on stage. I loved Stick of Truth and if FbW follows the same formula with extra goodies, it will definitely score 9.5 on gamespot (lol).
Need for Speed - A worthy successor to NFS Underground 2. This game is a complete reboot. Love the customization, gameplay looks solid but the camera is disorienting. It tilts during drifts. I can finally customize my own ricebunny FRS and paint it midnight purple.

Was looking at preordering some of the games but then they're $80CAD new? That's pretty pricey even AFTER conversion. Games are still $60USD down south.
I never understood why backwards compatibility is such a big deal. I bought the next gen console to play next gen games, and people act like this won E3 for Microsoft.

better load times and sometimes the games have better upscale graphics.
I have a 360 with over 100 games, with half Ive never touched yet lol. no need really to upgrade to the xbox one yet BUT this could be a deal changer for me.

people just rather prefer they have 1(sony) or 2(microsoft/nintendo) latest consoles connected to their tv as oppose to having 3 or 4 just to play old games
I don't own either console, and don't care one bit who "wins" or "loses" E3. But to me if Sony launching a fucking kickstarter campaign at their E3 conference is pretty much an auto-lose.
were there any sleeper hit/lesser known exclusives on xbox 360? adding backwards compat is an excellent value but 99% of them were also available on PC. Gears and Halo is getting remastered so you don't need BC. Unless Forza 5 and 6 is considered a downgrade to the first 4 or if you wanna play Gears 2+3 and Halo Reach those are the only ones I can think of, the 360 actually has very few exclusives?

It wasn't Sony directly doing the Kickstarter campaign for Shenmue 3. The creator was originally working with Sega, who stopped providing funding for the game, killing it off for these many years. For the record, they hit their 2 million goal already, and the game is also being released on PC. For the highest-tier backing, supposedly one of the artists for Pokemon bought the slot.
