i think he might have a year or 2 left on his contract and I think he might have a limited NTC where he gets to pick a list of teams to go to...either or he is shit and needs to be waived...When I watch him play he looks like he is too busy trying to look pretty with his beard and abs that he just doesnt try or do anything...thats my 2 cents lol

Higgins' has never been an offensively gifted player in the NHL, much like Malholtra.
He's been able to last all these years in the NHL because he does other things right, the intangibles. He's a good penalty killer and at times will put a few pucks in the net like a 4th liner should. But unfortunately, AV, Torts and WD doesn't see it and continues to use him as a second liner, like AV did with the MayRay experiment.

I really don't see all the good things that the team has said about WD's ability to coach.
After all these years and attempts by AV and Torts, WD still uses Daniel Sedin in the shoot out.

Or how Vey always seems to get a pass.

Also, I'm not seeing the chemistry with BoHo and Vrbata. I see the chemistry with Baertschi and BoHo though.
Vrbata can't do it alone. He needs a skilled passer to set him up. Yet they have him trying to feed Edler for the one timer on the PP.
A couple of times last night Vrbata had the puck and could have/should have made a better play but instead he tries to snipe and misses the net completely.
Also, this year, his shot doesn't seem to have much mustard on it. Perhaps father time is catching up to him very quickly or he may be playing injured.

I actually laughed pretty hard and uncontrollably at that post about losing Vey to waivers. I would love for that to happen.
But of course he shows a bit of spark in the PP, now WD's got a hard on to keep Vey in all sorts of situation that will last the rest of the season.

What is with the favoritism that WD and ex Canucks coach Vigneault have or had toward certain players? AV and Aaron Rome. WD and Vey.
