According to Sportsnet, Shawn Thornton's big mouth started the post game scrum.
This thug on skates is gonna get what's coming to him when our team plays the Panthers next time.
It takes a coward to say these things from the safety of the bench.
I hope Prust re-arranges this bum's face in a fight when these two teams play each other.
Jason Botchford of The Province reports that tough guy Shawn Thornton, whose battles with the Canucks date back to his days with the rival Bruins, was the instigator: "It was something along the lines of 'same sisters,' which I took to mean 'you’re still the same old sisters' from the way it was presented to me."
A source who was "a few feet" from Thornton told Sportsnet's Andrew Walker that the Panther said, "I have my name on two Stanley Cups. Where's yours? Where yours? Where's yours, Daniel?"
sure he adds size but he's on the wrong end of the age spectrum
the last thing we need is another aging dman who's on the decline making ungodly amounts of money from an FA signing

i think they will keep bur! as for weber they will play out his contract which is at the end of the year and wont resign him...hopefully give more playing time to pedan instead!
Connauton is absolutely horrible and this is coming from people that have been watching him play all season long. Best case scenario sounds like he'd just end up being a lateral move to replace Weber, but that gives you an idea of his skill set.
I think he meant next year with the play out the contract and won't resign contract.

Galchenyuk's girlfriend arrested for attacking him.
Quote:
Chanel Leszczynski, the girlfriend of Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk was arrested on charges of domestic violence on Sunday, reports La Presse.
Galchenyuk hosted a party at his home after the Canadiens' 3–1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night when Leszczynski arrived and had a violent incident with him.
Leszczynski was arrested as the instigator of the fight. Galchenyuk did not press charges.
Teammate Devante Smith-Pelley was also in attendance at the party. Several other friends who were there dialed 911 for assistance.
The 22-year-old forward has 27 points, including 10 goals, in 43 games this season as the Canadiens (23–17–3) hold third place in the Atlantic Division.
"The girlfriend of Montreal #Canadiens star forward Alex #Galchenyuk could face charges after she reportedly caught him with two other women at his downtown hotel room early Sunday morning — and then punched him in the nose. Read the full story at cjad.com"
JT Utah has more at 25Stanley.com, telling us in summary: "Galchenyuk did a house party with some guys and ‘girls.’His girlfriend showed up. She snapped real bad. People got scared and called the police."
this popped up on my FB feed not sure how legit from NHL Trade Rumors
After an apparent end of the game brawl between the Vancouver Canucks and Florida Panthers seemed to be started by Vancouver captain Henrik Sedin, reports have circulated that some of the Panthers bench had told him "go end it like Rypien did" on his way by.
The incident then resulted in Derek Dorsett going to the Panthers bench and a scrum between teams ensued.
For those that don't know what happened Rick Rypien. In 2011, he committed suicide at the age of 27 after dealing with depression for several years.
