On that note, RNH breaks hand blocking a shot, out long term.

Damn Nuge
Dude is always injured every season.

I'm going to lose my shit if Edmonton gets another #1 pick. There should be a fucking rule that if you suck at hockey for that goddamn long that you have 5 #1 picks, you should be relegated to the AHL.

Mike Oxbig 01-18-2016 09:03 PM

maybe thats why NHL is kinda boring to watch... all the 1st overall picks are in Edmonton and they all suck

Groot 01-18-2016 09:43 PM

hahahaha

They, IMO, should make it so that you can't win the draft lottery 2 years in a row.

Not that Edmonton has benefited from it at all ... at least not yet.

spoon.ek9 01-18-2016 10:24 PM

that would be smart (and fair) as it would discourage tanking.

IE, the league won't ever do it..

I can see why those people are so into him. If I ever bought a jersey with some other person's name on the back, it would be his.

Lmao Susan's jersey looked like a fake chinese knock off.

Would have been fun if they did one of those celebrity-in-disguise videos and got Burrows to go in there all disguised up.

Apple dumplings. For a while, they changed the recipe and I stopped buying them, but they're back to being one of those, "Hell yeah, I'll walk a few miles to get some." After hitting up the dispensary, hee hee.

Agreed - with some of the comments he said in this clip "because i'm a hockey player that i am any different from any human being", "they shouldn't be buying my jersey, they should be buying Luongo or the twins", "feel very privileged to be playing hockey for a living", etc.

John Scott will captain Pacific Division All-Stars | 2016 NHL All-Star Weekend

Quote:

NEW YORK – John Scott will captain the Pacific Division team at the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend in Nashville, the National Hockey League announced today.

Scott, elected to the Pacific Division captaincy in fan voting while a member of the Arizona Coyotes, was traded Friday to the Montreal Canadiens of the Atlantic Division. The resultant change in division, and Scott’s subsequent assignment to the American Hockey League, created a unique circumstance that required review – the result of which was a determination to maintain the status quo for the All-Star weekend in order to preserve all parties' pre-existing expectations, including Scott’s desire to participate.

"I am looking forward to enjoying a fun and unique experience at All-Star Weekend in Nashville with my family," said Scott. "While being voted to the All-Star Game by the fans was not something I expected to happen, I am excited to participate in the All-Star events with my fellow players."

They should have changed it years ago. Rory Fitzpatrick, Mike Komisarek, Zemgus Girgensons, etc. all had no business being voted into the all-star game.

I know the fate of Fitzpatrick. But did any of these other guys end up playing or did NHL intervene?

68style 01-19-2016 11:51 AM

Girgensons played

murd0c 01-19-2016 11:55 AM

I'm happy John Scott is playing... Someone like him has never been an all star and I know for a fact he will really appreciate the experience more then anyone else that's going. His whole family is going to enjoy the experience and his kids will be able to going around saying "dad's an all star" that's what it should be about and I'm happy for him and that the NHL made the right decision.
