Gaunce is old enough to play for Utica, he can go between the clubs without being picked up on waivers.

Virtanen and McCann aren't old enough for Utica, so it's either nhl or back to juniors. There is a rumor going on for Virtanen to get the Horvat treatment.

Be "injured", head to Utica for a few games for conditioning, then come back to do the 9 game nhl trial.

Lack signs a 2 year extension with the canes at $2.75M AAV.

Gonna be a steal of a deal if he can become the bonafide number 1 in that time

Lack is going to be their #1. Cam Ward is in his final season and he's at a 6.5 mill cap hit.

Francis said this past week he hopes to re-sign both team captain Eric Staal and goalie Cam Ward to multiyear extensions. He also noted both have no-trade clauses in their contracts.
Sounds like they plan on a 1a/1b situation with Ward and Lack, otherwise why sign Ward to a multiyear deal to be a backup?

Staal is asking for $9M per long term. Likely a situation where the player asks high, team asks low, and they meet in the middle. I'd guess around 5 x $7.5M.

So obvious. Felt like I've watched that goal 100 times before. Sedins are still the Sedins at 35.

Nuge basically handed them that goal. He should've been all over Daniel. You know Henrik is going to find that lane regardless of if you try to block it. Oilers will probably be terrible on D again.

They're following the Marc Crawford model of coaching.

Sedin-sedin-burrows
Baert-horvat-vrbata
Virtanen-McCann-sutter
Dorsett-craknell-hansen
prust vey

Edler-Tanev
Hamhuis-weber
Hutton-sbisa
Barrowski

Drop McCann down to forth and move up Hansen if he struggles
Corrado should clear, if not he's not much of a loss
Swap Hutton sbisa weber bartowski thoughout the year
Wish baert horvat virt could be a line but they all too raw, especially if horvat has a sophomore slump
Pray someone gives a pick for vey
