i didn't think we had a shot at being #1 ... but we are getting pretty damn close!

I've never been so excited for us to lose before ... and I've been watching the canucks since the 80s ...

witnessed the tank in person tonight! to be fair, it was actually a good game. the canucks put up a bit of a fight and ended up losing like we all wanted

some things to note:

Tryamkin is HUGE. It was a pleasure watching him pound out some crushing hits. Also, it's great to see people actively looking to avoid being hit by him. His net front presence on the PP seems to have a bit of potential.

Vey and Bartkowski holy jesus fuck. Hot garbage. I lol'd seeing Vey take that outlet pass and fall. It looked like the puck knocked his ass to the ice. Every time Bartkowski touched the puck I wanted to punch something.

Some dude a few rows behind us kept shouting things all game long. He was actually quite entertaining lol. NICE SHOT YA MORON! Overall, the crowd at this game seemed a bit more enthusiastic despite the fact that we all know we suck. Perhaps it's because ticket prices have plummeted and actual hockey fans can afford games now? FYI, TONS of blackhawks fans tonight. Very loud.

To pull this type of a trade off, we'd be looking at giving up either a Hutton or Horvat, and most likely another pick. That is a lot to give up to get those 2 fins.

What has Granlund done to be worth Shinkaruk? 1 goal, 1 assist in 9 games? 37% FO%?

Shinkaruk is STILL the leading scorer for the Comets despite being traded 5 weeks ago ... And is it any surprise that the Comets have tanked almost as hard as the Canucks since that trade? He was literally the only offensively-gifted forward we had down there ... at age 21 ... with 2 years left on his ELC ...

That trade was awful at the time it was made and it's even worse 5 weeks later as now it looks like we'll miss the playoffs in the AHL now, too.

Losing and the possibility of high picks is kinda making me forget just how fucking bad asset management of this team is...if we ever get top picks I'm a little concerned. The GM is a fucking moron, the AGM is a fucking moron and the president's got Aquaman so far up his ass, the memberships at club 16 now comes with medium pizza hut and Cranberry juice.

Laine-McCann-Virtanen
dat Utica first line

Tryamkin has basically made Sbisa expendable to the point Benning cant make up a reason to keep him. Hope he gets bought out at the very least it saves over 2mil in cap space

I think Hutton and Tryamkin has made Sbisa expendable but he will be kept around.
If nothing major changes in the off season and Hamhuis isn't re-signed, I would see the D as this

Tanev/Edler
Hutton/Tryamkin
Pedan/Biega/Sbisa

Now the question is do we re-sign BarTANKski or Weber?

And where will Suban fit in.

I sure hope, at this point anyways, that JB doesn't waste our first pick in this year's draft on a D man.

Ya, I think Tryamkin has got a solid foot in the door for next year. I think sbisa still fits in the bottom six though, and should be a battle between pedan, bieksa, sbisa?

Also I think is he is affordable and takes a discount hammer should come back, we need professionals to help the young players grow. The youth movement is great, but we are a few youngsters away from becoming the next edmonton. The groups young mental state is already extremely fragile, so we can't afford to give away all our experience.

Sedins, hansen, hammer, Tanev I think are very important for helping push the young players to the next level.

Edler - tanev
Hutton - hammer
Tryamkin - sbisa, pedan, biega

they wont have weber or bartowski back, Larsen will be given a chance. one of demers/hamhuis will be signed. more than likely hamhuis as he would cost less and let benning go for lucic and eriksson

hutton-tanev
edler-tyramkin
hamhuis-larsen
pedan

Tryamkin is still pretty young at I think 21? I would like to see him for a full season on the bottom 6 pairing, but summer training may put him in the top 4!

Also before throwing elder to the second pairing it might be worth seeing what he can fetch on the trade market. Teams may see him as a top 2 pairing, but if the bottom dwelling team puts him on the second pairing teams may see him even lower then he is. *if that makes sense*

unless Benning hurts Edlers feelings of him being unwanted (a la Garrison), Edler isn't going anywhere.

He has a really close relationship with Linden as well
